Best steak in central London. Took my boyfriend there for his birthday treat and it couldn't have been more perfect!

My wife and I visited the Hawksmoor on Saturday 3rd December. The welcome as you walk in is sincere and friendly. Shaun took our coats and bags. The restaurant was busy, giving a good atmosphere. Menu at the Hawksmoor is a tough one, as it is tough to decide which of the starters you want, they are all appealing, I... More

Another excellent night out at Hawksmoor. We had a table arranged for 8pm but found ourselves ready for 7pm - no problem, we were shown to the bar area for excellent cocktails or craft beers, with a table coming available at 730pm. As always the service is excellent - a particular thanks to my server who talked me through, with... More

Steak excellent with bernaise sauce horseradish, triple cooked chips and creamed spinach. Not sure about the Potted beef and Yorkshire puddings starter a bit on the cold side and rather too large. Tables a little close but no fault could be found with steak and lovely clean facilities , would return minus stater.

There's no doubt that if it's steak you're after, this place is amongst the best. The starters and sides are good too. Service is friendly and relaxed. It's noisy. If you don't want steak, frankly you're in the wrong place as your choice is going to be limited - one of us decided to have roast chicken, no 'provenance' is... More

My friend and I came here several weeks ago, we were able to take advantage of the 3 course offer through Bookatable. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we were there but the service was good and attentive and they were kind enough to let my friend charge her phone when it died on her! The steak was massive but... I had lunch here this week with a couple of colleagues. We all had steaks and they were fine. The restaurant environment is ok but very noisy. The service was okay without being great. If you like steak then it's a place to go. There are plenty of restaurants to eat in the area that I am sure offer great... More

The seating is a bit too close for my tastes, and the restaurant a bit on the loud side, but what Hawksmoor lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for in cuisine. My steak was cooked to perfection. The service was prompt as well. Quite enjoyable.
