The food here is incredible. The staff are such a great group of people and can't be too helpful. Went here for my birthday and even got a little birthday surprise in the form of their home made chocolates and a candle. The cocktails are...gorgeous and the interior is really modern. Would 100% recommend the tomato salad!More

Treated ourselves as we should have been in Madrid but due to Covid-19, best laid plans etc. So chose to eat here, booked earlier in week. All social distancing measures in place. Restaurant was absolutely buzzing, great atmosphere and fantastic food. Chateaubriand and Porterhouse cooked...to perfection. Decent Wine by the carafe and great service. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert divine. We come back time after time and it never fails to deliver.More

Cocktails to start were great. The scallop starter was nice, 4 scallops each was more than we expected. The prime rib was a touch under but it was fine- must be difficult to get the steak right as it could so easily overcook at the...table in the hot pan. The peppercorn sauce was lovely but the standout dish of the meal was the creamed spinach, I could have had a bucket of that. A couple of rolos for our anniversary was a nice touch. By far the best thing about the restaurant was the staff. Sergio was great, looked after us very well. A big selling point was going on the Monday with £5 corkage, especially as that included having the wine decanted and those decanters being so helpfully labelled by the somellier.More

Lovely building and really modern interior. Old Fashioned cocktail was great. Starters were scallops and the potted beef and bacons with Yorkshire’s. Great starters but the scallops did have a sharp piece of shell in one… But was very very tasty. 400g Ribeye steak was...cooked perfectly at medium and super tender. However, I wouldn’t recommend the bone marrow gravy…. I personally didn’t think it tasted very good. Spinach was very good and mashed potatoes with gravy was probably the tastiest side we had. I would recommend to others and would returnMore

Excellent experience from walking in to leaving! Excellent customer service from the hosts, waiters (Attia deserves extra credit) and management. FOOD WAS AMAZING!! One of the best Ribeyes I've ever had, my only criticism... the sides are to small. Highly Recommend

We attended there last night as a couple. The dining service was bliss. We had a waiter called Sergio who was very attentive throughout our meal. All staff seemed lovely, the food was divine and the waiter made the experience complete x

It was my birthday so we thought let’s go for the best steak- Chateaubriand. It costs £13.50 for 100g! Yep - you read right. It eventually arrived and despite our very best efforts and persistent mastication we eventually had to give up trying to eat...it. It was so tough it was inedible. My jaw was actually aching from the effort. Our meal consisted of some slices of steak (tough as leather) and a cup of chips between two of us - about 8 chips each, and a squirt of ketchup. We had one glass of wine each and some tap water. See photograph. Had we paid it would have cost us about £120 including the 12.5% tip they add. Not wanting to create a fuss we hid our semi chewed meat with our napkins and decided to just pay and leave and put it down to bad luck. However , the manager noticed we were proper fed up and he cancelled our bill. Very good of him. He offered us a free meal in future but we declined. It’s not an experience we would want to repeat - even for free. The restaurant itself is bare, stark and utilitarian. Not the romantic setting I had hoped for. To be fair the staff were nice but service was slow. I’m completely baffled by the gushing reviews this restaurant gets. Perhaps we were just unlucky? I don’t think so to be honest. I like cooking and I often cook us both the best fillet steak from our local farm butcher along with peppercorn sauce, chips and asparagus, with a glass of top quality wine. The very most this costs us is about £30. Whilst I understand restaurants have to make a profit, I don’t understand how can they justify charging £120 for inedible meat and average wine. What a complete and utter rip off. My advice would be don’t believe the hype. There are many very good restaurants in the London area. Don’t waste your hard earned money here. I’ll be amazed if they’re still open in a year’s time. People are not stupid and it appears we are being taken for fools by this restaurant. The emperor is wearing no clothes but will others have the courage to say so. We left feeling hungry and very disappointed. Not how you want to feel on your birthday. If you do decide to go here I hope you have better luck than us.More

Our first ‘proper’ meal out since lockdown and it was simply spectacular. Firstly the restaurant is large and tables well spaced, so it feels ‘safe’, the staff all in masks throughout, scrupulously clean everywhere. Chairs comfortable (this is important!), lighting not too dim, somehow not...noisy despite being pretty full. We started with amazing cocktails, Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew and a Fuller-fat Old Fashioned (best Old Fashioned ever). We started with grilled bone marrow and toast and belly ribs - gorgeous. Sirloin steaks perfectly cooked, chips, salad, mash, spinach - all delicious, washed down with a bottle of Hartenberg Cabernet Sauvignon. Feeling rather full (I had to take some of my steak home for a sandwich later), we had more cocktails to finish. So, the ambiance, food and drinks were wonderful, but the real stars were the staff. Kata served us and was an absolute delight, friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful and attentive but not overly. The bar lady (whose name I didn’t get) came and explained how they ultra-sound or sonic boom (you can tell the cocktails and wine had kicked in because I can’t remember) the martini to make the flavour better. Again, super professional, enthusiastic and excellent. We will be back. It wasn’t cheap, but we went out for a special night and we got one. This might be my new favourite restaurant.More

We visited on Sunday 18th July for our first anniversary meal. We were in London from the Friday and was looking forward all weekend to our luxury meal. We have always gone to Hawksmoor on Air Street and love the food and feel there. We...were very disappointed with Hawksmoor at Seven Dials. The atmosphere was very casual and didn’t get the same feel or atmosphere as the other one we visit. We paid £90 for 2 roast dinners and 4 drinks. The food was average and the beef was chewy. Such as shame as we waited all weekend for it and it was a let down. Wouldn’t return to this Hawksmoor.More
