I dined here at the Sports Bar & Grill Victoria this afternoon and am quite pleased. First, don't be turned off by the description as an American sports bar because the food is much closer to a pub to me. For example, no American beer and most of what they have I've never heard of. Which is just fine with... More

A good friend booked a table for 6 about two weeks earlier to watch England's final Round 1 Match v Slovakia last night, Monday, 20th June (Euros 2016). We all had arrived by shortly after 1900 in anticipation of a 1945 kick-off, which would be preceded by beers, wine and light food. Unfortunately, SBG Victoria had other plans ... First,... More

We walked in as we were very hungry having just arrived in London from our flight. The waitresses are very busy and you can tell that they are working hard and after 15 minutes no one even noticed us. We had to get up and go ask a waitress for a menu. The place is very concentrated on sports (of... More

We popped in here to try and watch the Ladies Final at the recent French open tennis. We did intend to have a bite to eat as well. I made the mistake of ordering a round of drinks before really taking in the place. It was pretty dark and looked dirty. It was quite empty and lacked atmosphere. Drinks were... More

The name should tell you all you need to know about this place. Its in a station so don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. First impressions: the tables are rammed in. Its not easy to squeeze passed other diners and that's uncomfortable. The service is stretched; they do their best but there are not enough of them... More

I simply don't understand some of the even mildly positive reviews of this bar. Is it the same place I've just been to? Was I just unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time to be treated in such an off-hand, disrespectful way by the staff? I came in by accident but sincerely wished I hadn't! I... More

If you love watching football or any other sports than this is the perfect stopover when you are in London. Me and my dad went for a weekend to London to watch a premier league game. While traveling through London by underground we stumbled upon this bar to eat something and watched some games. So beer, food and sport on... More

When I pass at Victoria Station on my way home, sometimes I need to wait some time until next train, I am always alone. I don't really drink alcohol if alone, so I will go for a tea and stay for average 30 minutes, the staff is amazingly friendly and always knows I drink tea, on my last time, Tuesday... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
