I had dinner with a friend recently at Cinquecento and we had such a fabulous experience.
The restaurant itself was very cute.
The service was great- the waiters explained things on the menu and were very attentive.
Pizza was so authentic and fresh, you watch it being made in the open kitchen. A bonus was that they catered for my gluten and dairy allergy and the pizza still managed to taste amazing!
Highly recommend Cinquecento and will certainly be back soon :)

Very disappointing.
I checked the reviews before ordering and thought it would be amazing.
Unfortunately it seems nobody has tried Franco Manca before! Not only FM is 35% cheaper, but there are more ingredients included!
ÂŁ1.50 for some dust of dry oregano is a proper rip off!
Pizza paste is good, but the big spongy chunks of courgette topping is unacceptable. It should be thin and roasted!
Took parmigiana as a starter. Again unpleasant to the palate big spongy chunks of aubergine and too little cheese. No comparison with Franco Manca again!
Easily fixable issues, if the chef is open to criticism...

Lovely buzzy place. I am not a pizza fan however I enjoyed their pizza. Ingredients all fresh made from scratch. Excellent authentic tomato sauce made from obviously Italian organic tomatoes. The meat balls were top notch, lean and juicy, no grizzle, excellent flavour. The pizza dough did not leave any uncomfortable after taste as most doughs do for me. It was easily digested, however, I would have preferred it to be crispier but still it was delicious. The Tiramisu was scrumptious, made from authentic Italian ingredients. The owner was very hospitable, totally engaging with clients and hands on. The owner contributed a lot to our most pleasant visit.

We took a New York visitor to lunch here and it was embarrassing. The staff were Italian and the food was Italian. The pizza and all the food we had was really not good. In fact awful.
We were told that it was Neopolitan and that we did not understand pizza. As my friend said we understand delicious and that is not! For sure! If you are conscience of salt then this is not the place for you as I had all for no salt and mine was loaded.
The staff were most off putting as if was an inconvenience for them that we were there. There were very few in the restaurant and yet we had to signal several times before they would take our order for bring our bill.
It is dreary decor and on a bad weather day especially bad and not helped with the staff that have been employed to serve.
Avoid.

Dear 301Barbara,
Thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent visit at Cinquecento500.
I apologise that the food was not what you were expecting. We use the freshest Italian ingredients and cook in a classic Neapolitan style.
We are truly sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us, and all comments have been discussed with the team.
Best,

This pizza place opened in 2020 and was quite good at the beginning
Having revisited it recently I am sure not to ever come back
The place was massively Understaffed, the woman at the door was incredibly rude. Food stood for ages next to the oven getting cold. Delivery drivers were continuously coming and in and out
Service was nearly non existent. Food was much worst compared to the good days.
Cherry on top being charged ÂŁ 1.50 for a little cup of cheese asked to add flavour to a tasteless bins pasta
Outrageous and Embarassing
The owners have been focusing a lot on new opening and very little on standards, hospitable atmosphere, food and service
SEE YOU NEVER AGAIN

I think this restaurant has a lot of potential to be great but I have been here a few times now and find the food and service to be inconsistent. It’s a tough time with labour shortages in the industry no doubt but staff that is there must be trained to be attentive and professional. Additionally, food can be hit or miss. For example, I ordered the provolone steak as a starter and instead of the stringy, bubbly and well seasoned dish I was expecting , it came out as a cold solid of cheese covered by a coating of fried batter. I make this dish at home in a cast iron skillet with loads of herbs and spices it is so easy to make it delicious, I was surprised how wrong this dish went. One thing they do get very right is their tiramisu. Definite potential here, just need to bring it all together on a consistent basis.

A casual Italian eatery...pizza's not bad (though have had better as sister restaurant in Chelsea), service pretty good/friendly & attentive, and ambience OK, albeit not as buzzy as I'd expect for a Friday night.
However, I've just noticed that we were charged service charge on our standard food bill and then when we paid, were given the option on the machine to choose 10%, 15% or 20% for service I think it was - which we assumed was the service charge, but was in fact an additional service charge. So we ended up inadvertently paying around 30% service - that can't be right? I should have noticed this, but trusted them not to charge twice, as have not seen this before.
Is this their standard practice or?
Let me know, as if so, it should be made a whole lot clearer!

Something has changed for worse here.
We went on Saturday the 5 of August. We ordered 4 starters and 4 pizzas and 1 lasagna that arrived after most of us had nearly finished our pizza, and one of my sons was still waiting for it. Having been there a couple of years before we went thinking it would be the same BUT we were very disappointed. The restaurant has removed from the menu' the calzone Fritto, which is a typical Napolitan Pizzas . We ordered the fritto misto, bruschette, parmigiana, and frittatina . All fried items arrived burned. Also everything was in small quantity and little compared to 2 years ago'despite everything was more expensive. The pizzas were average. We only took 2 bottles of water. Got charged well over 150 pounds. The waiter did not even give me receipts, and only after I paid I discovered we got charged 17 pounds in the service charge. Service was average. Honestly, this restaurant has unfortunately lost the sparkle.

We absolutely loved all of the food that we ordered here! It honestly was extremely tasty and there was a huge variety that you could choose from. I see that a few people had made comment on the service which I personally didn't experience. Everyone was extremely helpful, smiley and on it when we visited.
I would 100% be recommending this place to everyone and i cannot personally wait to be back.

I went here with my wife for lunch on 24/1/2020.
The staff were lovely and they are all Italian which makes it feel even more authentic.
We spoke to the manager(?), who came over to welcome us and struck up a conversation about pizza. His enthusiasm for quality food and ingredients made both of us happy.
I have eaten hundreds of pizzas in my life and the ones here are equal to any pizzeria in Italy.
The dough is fantastic and the toppings were delicious. The olive oils are also a treat.
I had Tiramisu and it was superb. Tasted like the one my Italian Grandma made.
I would rate this higher if I could.

Anybody who fails to give this 5/5 either has no tastebuds or thinks Americans invented pizza.

This was my second visit and I loved it even more than my first. The ricotta meatballs are divine, the salad was delicious and the pizza was out of this world. The tiramisu was also amazing! The staff are also very attentive and very welcoming. What a wonderful restaurant I cannot wait to visit again!

Found this place on Instagram raving about the pizza and vibe but I must say both were rather average. Not just that, but it was not a very welcoming establishment. When we arrived there was no host to greet us though there were about 5 staff stood around dealing with takeaway orders. After politely waiting a couple of minutes I asked one of them if the restaurant is open or if they’re just doing takeaways. He said it was open and someone would come see to us. After waiting some more someone eventually came to seat us - I think it was the manager. Not very polite and rather blunt. It’s a very small restaurant and with the pizza kitchen being a part of the restaurant all the staff were working frantically in the walkway to get the orders out. It was really loud and not relaxing at all. It’s also quite uncomfortable when you can hear the staff arguing amongst themselves. The pizza itself was also quite average. It was very sloppy so when you picked a slice up the toppings just slid off. I’m thinking this was probably due to all the olive oil that was lathered on top of the pizza. I also had a few pieces that were quite burnt and ruined the taste. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t anything special. I think if the staff had been more friendly and welcoming, and there weren’t people frantically rushing all over the place trying to get takeaways out, it would’ve been a lot more pleasant. It was sort of like being dropped in the middle of a crisis with a sloppy pizza.

I cannot praise them enough, finally a proper pizza in UK! This is what a pizza should taste like and what an authentic italian pizza should taste like. Huge pizzas, rich in topping and flavour, lovely and friendly Italian staff and yummy desserts. Only downside is lack of space but the quality of pizzas more than makes up for it. Will definitely be visiting again.

Bread is delicious. The pizzas are super authentic and you can find a variety of pizzas you can’t find anywhere else. We came across this place on accident, but it keeps you coming back after the first try!

This is a lovely little restaurant open all day that does great pizzas. Really pot luck if you can get a table as I think there is no bookings. Arrived late afternoon/early evening and not too full.. Staff were friendly and took order promptly with drinks arriving quickly. However seemed to be doing a good trade in takeaways which had priority and it was over 40 minutes before we got our food. Not surprisingly we had a couple more beers which were brought promptly. The pizza had a great topping and was delicious when it arrived. The 15% added to the bill as service charge makes overall prices more expensive.

But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea.
