The Oak was my first favourite in Bayswater when I moved here 18 months ago. At the first time I couldn't get in to the restaurant, there was no place; I had to go up to the bar with my friend on those old, dusty stairs. While we waited for a table, we had forget abut we was hungry. We... More

It's the same every time. Wonderful I mean. Friendly, festive, fashionable and fun. Impeccable service start to finish. Solid, but not awesome food.

This is since years my favorite local place. Super vibe, always full, great food and super nice cozy bar upstairs. Watch out for the stairs going up and down to the bar. Start with tapas upstairs and put yourself on the waiting list. No reservations possible! Great outdoor tables on summer. Pizzas and tuna are amazing and so is their... More

So having heard good things and having been very impressed with the sister restaurant in Shepherd Bush/Kensington Olympia, we selected this restaurant for my partner’s Birthday. I had called in the days before to ask if a booking was required and was told; no booking was required and we could have cocktails in the upstairs lounge (as advertised on their... More

I came to The Oak last Monday evening and even though I only stayed a couple of hours, the service was very kind (the Argentina waitress was especially very attentive) and the manager Chloe was very friendly and nice to me. I would recommend The Oak to anyone who loves Italian cuisine. You will not regret the visit.

We checked earlier in the day and were told that they didn't take reservations and to just turn up later. We turned up to the half-full restaurant and were asked to have a drink in the upstairs bar and we would be called. After 45 minutes we asked if we could now eat. The upstairs barman went down to check... More

First we enjoyed our drinks upstairs in the very comfortable arm chairs giving a home away from home feeling then we went down stairs to the restaurant where we enjoyed one of very good Italian meals ( Pizza are prepared fresh on site ) Staff were good and friendly ( offered a cake to the birthday girl ) Recommended

An old-boozer turned modern Italian restaurant; the menu includes a fresh approach to Mediterranean classics & consistently excellent pizzas which propel the reputation of this neighbourhood restaurant across London.
Our menus reflect a love of honest, wholesome food & flavours with simplicity in presentation.
Tucked away upstairs you will find our stunning private dining room, adjacent to, but still very much part of our cocktail bar. Folding doors can provide just the right amount of privacy yet still capturing the atmosphere of the popular bar lounge. The table can seat up to 16 for a 2 or 3 course meal and can be booked for lunch or dinner any day of the week; perfect for a celebratory dinner with friends or family. The room also has the versatility to be used for more corporate daytime functions, with lunch.
