Think dull day in (meant to be) summer. In London. Three meetings without any tea or sustenance. Then remember that Herman ze German is just around the corner and inwardly cheer. Ten minutes later I was sitting at a wooden bench in a small but buzzing cafe, having been able to WASH MY HANDS BEFORE EATING (!! how luxurious, this... More

Brilliant atmosphere that feels somthing like walking into a german beer house. Friendly staff who were mor then willing to go through the differnt foods and explain about them and their origins. The service was fast and the food cooked fresh to order. I had the chicken schnitzel sandwich which was large and delicious whith a very nice sauce on... More

I ordered from here with Ubereats. I asked specifically for extra sauce on the "hot dog" and paid for an extra pot of ketchup for my chips. I did not get any sauce, therefore I had a dry dog. Unimpressed to be honest as I paid for something and didn't get it.

A pretty good snack currywurst- quick service, reasonably priced, open until a reasonable hour- would go back for the bratwurst for sure.

These are the real thing, imported from Germany and served hot and quick. It reminds me of the wurst carts which are everywhere in Germany.

Dropped in here for a takeout. Wow. Great selection of wurst sausages; we had one chilli, one curry special which had stack of topping and handful of fries. Lots of extras to choose from. Big portions. Nice staff, quick service. Reasonably priced.

Love it here and the staff are friendly too... Located on Villars Street just down from Charing cross train station it's an ideal place to stop for a quick bite to eat. Good range of sausages and they offer a meal deal too. Not a lot of room, but they've got some seating which would be cosy when it's busy!... More

I don't eat meat so thought I wasn't going to like here even tho I really wanted to go. Boy was I wrong! It is a small shop on the bustling Villers Street and as the name suggests, it is German and so everything is based on a wurst (German sausage). The great thing is they also had a VEGGIE... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
