Eli's is a newly opened family owned licensed restaurant specialising in serving French chicken rotisserie with a range of sides including North African inspired dishes like Cous Cous. Hot and cold starters like Hummus, Grilled Halloumi and Falafel are available, along with a selection of desserts - so we are the perfect venue for guests to enjoy the most amazing meal created from the freshest ingredients. Aside from offering a well stocked bar, we also specialise in serving Flora Tea: hand-tied individual green tea tips with aromatic flowers which form a secret centre when placed in boiling water. Eli's really is a combination of inspiration, culture and fabulous food. Take outs and deliveries are also available, families are very welcome and we also accept bookings for parties. Perfect gem. Small independent & reasonably priced restaurant owned and run by a friendly couple who accommodated nine of us for a birthday lunch yesterday, We enjoyed Mezze, spit roast chicken, and couscous. Restaurant situated in a quiet pedestrianised area within walking distance of Hyde Park.

Very pleasant small neighborhood restaurant with Mediterranean menu. Run by lovely husband and wife team. Lots of South Kensington neighborhood regulars including for take out. The owners are friendly and personable, they brought me a complimentary desert just because i had asked what it was and mentioned I never had it. They clearly work hard and take great pride in the work. Food was good, I had several appetizers, and portions were generous.

We were looking for a nice independent restaurant whilst staying in the Kensington area and after a bit of Googling chose Eli's, as we liked the look of the menu, we weren't disappointed! I started with the chicken livers which were excellent, my husband had the grilled halloumi which was also delicious. We then shared half a chicken with fries, spinach and green beans as side orders, plenty for 2 people. Service was friendly and we really enjoyed our evening.

Too many better options in London

I’m not sure about all the five star reviews. Maybe we just had a bad night but we dined there with our family of four and everyone was disappointed. Service was inattentive (had to chase the server down for water refills, clearing the table, and our bill) and the food was bland, which was surprising given that this kind of cuisine is famous for its pronounced spices and flavours. I order a cous cous with chicken, lamb and mergez sausage and i found all the meat was very dry and overcooked while the dish was also moderately cold. it takes a lot for me to decline the "optional" service charge, which now seems standard in London, but in this case i did not hesitate to tell the server to remove it from my bill. given how many great restaurants there are in London i would NOT recommend this place.

Raw and bloody chicken

I took my wife and sister in law to Eli's for lunch, I ordered wings as part of a three dish set price.The wings were under cooked and bloody (see photo). I notified the owner/waiter who asked me what I would like to do, I informed him that I did not want another plate of wings or anything else as I was put off. He did remove the wings at a cost £2 when the wings cost £5.5 individually. The owner/waiter did not apologise at any point. I will not be going back to Eli's for a potential dose of food positioning.

Service charge, what service?

Popped in for an early evening cocktail and a bowl of olives (both reasonable and reasonably priced for the area). The waiter was too busy chatting to the table next to us to notice or acknowledge us. Fair enough. Time passed... Cocktail arrived reasonably quickly after he finally took our order. More time passed... No sign of the olives so I caught his eye and reminded him - he'd clearly forgotten, no apologies, just a quick "they're on the way." Asked for the bill. Time passed... Arriving customers were spoken to. More time passed and we had to go to the counter to remind him again. Then the bill came with an automatic 12.5% service charge - which seemed an excessive amount for the level of service received. I won't be back.

ELI'S RESTAURANT - SUPERB 10/10

My partner and I had the great fortune of modern fine dining (at a good price) at Eli's Restaurant yesterday evening. This beautiful restaurant was actually recommended to us by another customer (who was enjoying the outside facilities and drinks). The experience at Eli's restaurant was DELIGHTFUL! We honestly and whole-heartedly recommend you visit and enjoy the wonderful hospitality, food and drinks! The wonderful Nidaa made us feel so welcome and catered to us with the highest level of professionalism, warmth and approachability, which really added the sparkle to our entire day (not just evening). We totally enjoyed the food (including dessert), the wine, the decor, the owners (and all staff). The experience just kept getting better and you can tell the team know how to give you the BEST restaurant experience you could ever ask for without needing to ask for it! Eli's Restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. We will definitely be going to Eli's again.

Excellent food, service and location.

My adult daughter and I ate dinner here just last week. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night to enjoy more dishes from Eli's menu. The location in South Kensington was perfect after a long day of taking in the sights. Choices were to eat in or on a front patio but we chose inside. The decor is a Wow from the original ceiling decor coupled with bench sitting lined with comfortable pillows to lean against. The owners and staff are very welcoming and friendly, even on a very busy night. Over the two nights we enjoyed a variety of dishes we could share including lamb couscous, baba ganoush, falafel, ratatouille, and the best grilled halloumi (thinly sliced with thin tomato slices). I highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant. I hope to enjoy its menu again on a future trip.

A great find

We were staying in the area and looking for somewhere to have dinner. We chanced upon Eli's and were so pleased we did. We weren't hugely hungry so only had main courses (two of the couscous dishes) with wine, followed by Turkish coffee. It was excellent and very reasonably priced for what is an expensive part of town. We enjoyed chatting with the owner, too. Highly recommended!

Fab little place

So impressed with this little gem of a restaurant. There were 7 of us on a family girls day out, visited last Saturday. Such a lovely warm welcome. The place is so cute with holiday vibes. The food was delicious (had the lamb couscous), all freshly made and the cocktails were amazing! Would certainly recommend visiting here, but book because it’s quite small and busy. And will certainly be returning.

Big cheat

The Iraqi owners are charming but don't have a problem with selling you not quite fresh food. They say everything is home-cooked. A big lie. There is a big staff rotation because the owner doesn't want to sign a contract. They promise staff tips but 12.5% service charge you pay is not shared between staff. It goes to owners pocket... They don't respect customers, nor the staff...

Lovely neighbourhood restaurant

Stumbled across this fantastic restaurant in South Kensington down one of those streets that I presume was closed off to allow outside dining during the pandemic. The restaurant looks great and the tables outside were in the sun until late afternoon. The food was excellent and the mezze sensibly served on stacked trays rather like afternoon tea, meaning the table didn’t get overloaded. Staff were delightful and the toilets bright and clean. Will definitely return.

Home cooked Middle Eastern food of the highest standard

We had lunch here and shared 3 cold starters (humus, baba ganoush, aubergine) and 3 warm starters (liver, falafel, grilled halloumi) - all beautifully presented and in good portion sizes. All dishes were freshly made, could not fault anything. Service was welcoming & owners run the table service with a smile. As it was not busy, the owner had time for a great chat at the end of our meal. Restaurant is newish, beautiful retro decor & soft music in the background. We will be back for a Couscous Royal dinner as promised.

Impressive, attentive wholesome yet opulent experience.

Hasan and Nidaa impressed me beyond expectation. They’re skill and style are unmatched. So excited to have found this stylish yet homely abode. The perfect setting for me and my bestie to enjoy a comfortable cocktail. The food exudes experience and the cocktails are made with love. You can tell this venue is run by a couple that love their customers experience as much that they have experienced love themselves. Would highly recommend can’t wait to come back!

Passing by this restaurant after our visit to the miniature exposition nearby we stopped and looked at the trip advisor ratings and decided to have lunch there. Everything we had was amazing, the quality, the presentation and the taste. The only thing that was weird was when I asked for a gin and tonic, that was offered on the menu, only to be told that they don't have tonic but use sparkling water instead. I was so surprised that I kept asking how can they write gin and tonic if it's not gin and tonic only to receive the same answer over and over again. So we just had sparkling sparkling water with lunch!
