I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my 30th for a while and then i stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to give it a go after readying a few reviews. Overall it was a good experience, food was fresh and well prepared. The staff was attentive and very well spoken. The room it self very moderately designed without... More

Lovely dinner, with drinks before and afterwards in the bar. Staff were all very polite, knowledgable, attentive and helpful, throughout the evening. Only one small criticism, may have been our fault for not requesting more, the amount of red win jus served with the Beef Wellington was not really adequate. Would go again.

I had booked The Goring for lunch some months prior to my investiture at the palace. After collecting my OBE, a simply perfect occasion, off we went by RR Phantom, courtesy of RR. In all our years going to restaurants and hotels in London, even though we are both weekly visiting, we had never been to The Goring. At my... More

Very rarely eat outwith the Goring Hotel when staying here - it is just so good! Had Sunday Luncheon here the day after a rather odd critique speared in a weekend supplement. Don't intend to make further comments about that but those of us who know and love The Goring Restaurant will continue to appreciate the amazing skills of Shay... More

Visited with some US friends and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The quality of service is a particularly strong feature from the moment you walk into the hotel until when you leave. The food was good, as usual. Some might say the portions are small but the quality is excellent. Although we were among the first to dine, the place soon... More

We had a wonderful time at afternoon tea yesterday. We have an annual catch up with our friends around Xmas and this year we chose the Goring. What a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and couldn't do enough. The afternoon tea was good and plentiful. I highly recommend this afternoon tea in London.

It was my wife's birthday...I needed I do a special treat for her. We decided to go to The Goring... We had a apperitif of a glass of Pouilly Fuisse. Very fruity and lovely in the lounge. After visiting the queen mothers weekender on our trip around nc 500 at Castle Mey earlier this year, knew this hotel was one... More

We saw this restaurant on TV with some well known chefs sampling the food and we just had to try it ourselves. The setting is absolutely amazing, perfectly English in the centre of Belgravia. Michelin starred food is always going to be exceptional and this was exactly that. Chicken Soup starter sounds so simple.... how far from that could it... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
