Like taking a step back in time. A slight mix up over the evening meal but a bottle of complementary champagne was provided. A wonderful place to stay and be spoilt.

Ok so I know this is a Michelin star restaurant and it's in a 5 star hotel and it was a Bollinger pairing 5 course dinner so expectations were high - it surpassed expectations. Everything from the doorman onwards was perfect. The bar and a pre dinner drink was met with super service in a beautiful quiet very English bar.... More

Visited for 3 course lunch using a Telegraph offer, lovely dinning room. The service we received was top notch as was the food couldn't fault it. I had Beef tartare to start with the best beer pickled onions I've ever tasted, my husband had wild mushroom risotto which was very tasty. For mains we both had salt marsh lamb, delious... More

A celebratory late lunch for five people last week, following a special trip to the Palace, which is of course, just around the corner. The food was superb and the room had a lovely ambiance, partly due to the discretion of the staff, who were both unobtrusive and attentive. Starters of cep risotto were rated by others; I had the... For years cliquey Sloane Rangers kept the Goring to themselves by labelling it the Boring Goring in order to put off outsiders. Yet this still family-owned and run five-star hotel with a fascinating history rises superbly and elegantly above the shameful trashing of Victoria by greedy developers eager to replace an older London with identical glass boxes owned by sovereign... A wonderful dining experience with the children during a fun day out to London. The hotel looked stunningly beautiful as it was stunningly decorated for Christmas. I will admit upon arriving at the Goring thinking I may have made a mistake given how beautiful the hotel was and the general buzz of other customers congregating for pre dinner drinks all... More

The breakfast service at The Goring Dining Room was wonderful! The menu was broad enough to meet anyone's tastes, yet edited enough to perfect each offering.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
