Great little wine bar with tasting bottles and knowledgeable and informative staff. We had a cheese plate too which was delicious! Highly recommended if you're visiting Notting Hill, Kensington Palace or the P ark.

We were two and ordered four starters to share and one bottle of wine (Hermitage 2000 above 80GBP). Food was nothing exceptional but it was ok. Total was 130GBP. When they made me taste the wine, I immediately smell a lot of VA but the palate was not damaged even if tasteless. I wanted to get the opinion of my... More

Our policy is to change any wine that a guest does not enjoy, corked or otherwise. This is a routine part of our business with an average week seeing more than a dozen wines returned. We do not require a sommelier to taste or smell the wine, it is quickly replaced by the waiter or waitress serving your table. If... More

Ate here twice while staying in London recently. Wonderful service and loved the whole concept of diverse and eclectic wine tasting. We were able to taste an extensive selection of wines and find the perfect match to accompany our meals. For the most part the food was excellent, however the gnocchi main was not great -- dense and lacking taste.

This is a restaurant with a wine room in the front. It's perfect for guests who want to taste several different wine by the glas as they have a pretty good selection. You can even buy a card that you top up so you can serve yourself from on of their fancy machines. The food is ok, nothing more unfortunately.... More

It was a last minute decision to go to the Wine Rooms as that was just about the only decent wine specialist which was close enough from the bar we were at and would open until midnight on a Sunday. It came to a pleasant surprise that the range has passed out expectations. From the pictures, we thought they only... More

Wow, this was an amazing place, wines are amazing, they are kept in specialised chilled cabinets, whether red or white and you can get a card -like an Oyster card and then access any wine you would like, a huge selection available. Try the bar snacks too - great olives, soft shell crab, prawns with chorizo - amazing, staff are... More

I loved the Kensington Wine Rooms. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the staff very informed and the food and wine first class.

The atmosphere at the Wine Rooms was pleasant, woody feel, resembling more of a restaurant than a wine bar [especially towards the back]. Service was mediocre, not horrible, but I am allergic to pretentious folks that roam the wine industry. Expecting wine tasting notes on top of their enomatic machines, I felt lost, left to myself to roam blinded. The wines... More

Hi Luckyinfinity, Thanks for your trip to Kensington Wine Rooms. Whereas both the Wine rooms and the Sampler use Enomatics the concepts are different. The Sampler is a great retailer, with a few tables in the basement for guests drinking in, whereas the Kensington Wine Rooms is a Wine Bar and Restaurant. I’m sorry you found our wines average, our... More

A few weeks back we were strolling down Church Street in Kensington around early afternoon and feeling a bit peckish on a warm, early Spring down we decided to pop in to this little wine bar cum restaurant and what pleasant surprise. Lovely surroundings and a very relaxed atmosphere with unobtrusive service. There is a full lunch menu or snacks... More
