They forgot our starters and came straight with the main. They didn't have the main course we wanted which was smoked haddock. Something they never said when giving us the menu. They said the starters would be free after the main course but actually only gave us a glass of champagne each (normally £12 a glass) They only had 2... More

Went there with friends, and was placed next to a table with 4 drunk people, that was very noisy and almost got into a fight due to discussions. In a decent place, they have been told to leave a long time ago - but the waiters did not have the courage to say anything or stop serving alcohol. And this... More

Where to begin... Appetizer: pumpkin soup. The flavour was lovely, unfortunately, it took close to half an hour to receive after ordering, and when it arrived it was a few degrees over room temperature. Most disappointing- had it been served warm it would have been lovely. Main: steak. Ordered medium well. Arrived very well done- almost to the point of... More

My first time wine tasting for my birthday. Micheal was amazing !!! Gave us complimentary bubbles to begin. Followed by a very informative and interesting class. Wine choice was excellent. Cheese was fab. The layout was beautiful. The whole experience from start to finish was so so good. Highly recommend esp with Micheal. He was super cool and answered all... More

The selection of wines by the glass is very good at this place. We were here for a late Sunday lunch and an almost empty restaurant, so the food may have been influenced by the chef´s wish to have a break, but the duck was not impressive. However, the gnocchi was very good. Have been here a couple of times... More

Normally I am not a stingy reviewer but this deserves two stars. I am sure that if you just want to sample some wines this might be the place...BUT...what we experienced was meagre portions (the "crab with crackers" is a tablespoon of crab and avo mix surrounded by about 7 popchips - for £9!) and the duck was perfect if... I've been to KWR before and I have had some mixed feelings about it, especially the food. However, on this recent visit I went for dinner with 6 friends. The service was friendly, the food was very very good and yet again their wine list is great! They have some gems and this time they had, amongst others, a 2000... More

We enjoyed the best fish and chips with minted peas. Fabulous and just 10 pounds. Having walked all morning the unlimited table water was also welcome. With a great wine list I added a Sancerre to my lunch

If the name of your establishment contains the word wine in it, you would expect the wine list to be deep and varied. While the place itself is nice, and had a nice atmosphere and decent service, I thought the wine list was very average. There are only about a dozen red's and almost no Italian's (although one of the... More

Hello Russth, I'm sorry we failed to meet your expectations. We do in fact have a core wine list of 100 still wines, plus about 40 'fine & rare' and another 30 or so sweets, fortifieds and sparkling. We offer 40 still wines by the glass at any one time, all on show in the 5 wine dispensers, of which... More

My wife and I popped in for a glass of wine before taking up our reservation at Clarke's just across the street. The service was very friendly and the wine by the glass carefully curated and reasonably priced. The food offerings also looked interesting and worth another visit. Unfortunately we were leaving London the next day but will certainly keep... More
