The ambiance and attention to detail from the staff to the sommelier, the starters to the mains, made our dining a pleasure that stands out amongst other establishments in Soho. With words to numerous to describe the freshness, selection of food on offer, taste, and dining. The Gautier Soho experience is what one look’s forward too in the future. Next... More

We had dinner here on June 30, 2016. This was our third visit to Gauthier Soho. Each dinner was simply outstanding as was the service. This time we all had the summer tasting menu. Come hungry, there are so many items you will be stuffed. Each item was of the highest quality and beautifully served in a professional manner. The... More

The deluxe lunch package is simply ridiculously good value. Three courses (plus amuse bouche, pre-dessert and petit fours) comprising some of the best food I've had, with expertly matched (and very good) wine. The restaurant skimps on nothing. Service is excellent: we were given canapes as a sort of pre-starter because one party was late, with no charge added to... More

The food was sublime and the sommelier selected two great wines as well. It is not cheap but it is extremely good value for money. I expected the bill to be much more expensive for the quality of food we had. The service was impeccable and professional but a bit too formal and cold.

We have been to Le Gauthier on two occasions. The first occasion was definitely superior to the second, but I think that is because we were on a tight timetable for the second occasion - off to the theatre - and this is somewhere where you need to be prepared to set aside a decent amount of time for the... Probably one of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had. Great food, attentive staff and a wonderful ambience. Of course, great company made it even better.

I booked a table at Gauthier on my last evening in London, having read some great reviews and also there assurance that vegetarians were welcome. I arrived and was seated at my table immediately, the server was already aware I was vegetarian (great!) and pointed out my options on the menu. So far the service was not very friendly but... More

Paying a premium price for top quality food with excellent and attentive service is not for everyone. But if you care to relax for some hours whilst receiving excellent service of great food accompanied by a wide range of interesting French wines -and you understand that this will not come cheap - then Gauthier should be high on your list... went for a business lunch, excellent food and service, managed to reserve the Chef's Table which is in a small private room and seats 4, ideal to talk business confidentially. The set lunch is amazing value especially with the matched wines.

Back again to Gauther for lunch, back again to the quiet, opulent environment and the innovative and fantastic value menu accompanied by discreet, efficient, generous warm professional service. This time we had the 5 course tasting menu: £40 including Amuse Bouches, Petit Fours and lots of Champagne as an aperitif. The menu has changed a bit since our last visit. What... More

Having earned a star within a year of opening Gauthier Soho, Alexis Gauthier is described by Zagat guide as "...one of the Best New French food destinations in London...". With an emphasis on vegetables in all dishes, Alexis provides a seasonal tasting menu with the best possible ingredients (British where possible) for omnivores and a vegetable option, as well as an A la Carte and lunch/pre-theatre option. All served in a chic Soho Townhouse where the staff really make you feel special. There are also five private dining rooms for parties of all sizes.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
