We called in here for breakfast while staying in the area. Food was quite a long time coming but they did offer free top ups on tea and filter coffee with a breakfast. Food was fine and just as expected for a breakfast - nothing remarkable. It's a busy place but the service is quite slow. It's right next to... More

Went for lunch, had what they call nachos for starter (probably from the day before) and chicken with fries that were both cold and drowned in something called BBC sauce. Worst meal in London, better to eat anywhere else. Avoid for your own good :)

Went today - had to remind them to take our order. Sat for an hour, no food arrived (apparently they were busy), so left. Shocking service.

Disappointing. Cold, hard scrambled eggs. Fries instead of diced potatoes. Roar fried eggs. Cold toast. Questioned it asked for warm toast and warm scrambled eggs the waiter replied ' we don't make it like you do at home' -weird.

It's a chain in London, but honestly if your looking to experience some British food for the first time it's definitely a spot to check out! Great food!

Two courses £14.99 Simple straightforward but hot and tasty meal . Don't expect anything fancy but sausage and mash , fish and chips chicken and chips , can't go far wrong with that

I have always been skeptical of "chain" restaurant, but an extreme urge for real English food persuaded me to try this restaurant. Had Chicken Pie, which was excellent, except for the way too dry mashed potatoes, and bread and butter pudding with custard, also very good. Service was good, the a bit tight seating.

We like Garfunkels restaurants. We visited this Garfunkels after a night at the Wyndhams theatre. We arrived about 22.00 and were seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. Food was very good and service was fast and pleasant.

Visited this restaurant on a visit to London with my son. Always find Garfunkel's standards high with presentation and food quality. I had a three egg omelette and my son had Fish and Chips and it was hot and quickly served. Would certainly recommend this establishment.

Thank Roger P

It's just been announced that we've made the shortlist for the top 3 businesses in the Best Multiple Foodservice Operator Award, as part of the 2015 National Fish & Chip Awards. Our Fish & Chips are a true British classic, made with our very own London Pride beer batter and served with a generous helping of chunky chips. So if you haven't been in to try them, now is your chance... They are soon to be award winning (well, fingers crossed!).

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
