I had the beef rendang and the roti canai. Really enjoyed both. The only issue for me was that it was a little pricey, but if they're slow cooking the beef for six hours, I can understand why. The waiter that served us was absolutely...amazing. I regret not asking for his name but he was tall, spiky hair, and wore glasses I think. But they were all friendly. Overall, really recommend!More

Great choice of wonderful Malaysian street food, beautifully presented at very reasonable prices. Ambience is fantastic and staff are really helpful & knowlegable. Definately worth a visit if you're in this part of the city and are looking for really great food.

Visited this restaurant twice already & very impressed with the food. It's now my go-to place to satisfy my southeast asian cravings! Each serving is a blast of flavours plus they're really big and worth every penny. One thing I love is that the seasoning...wasn't tamed down for the British palate, it is how I remembered it while I was in Asia.More

Rasa Sayang has been refurbished but unfortunately the quality of its food has slipped and our experience was disappointing. The flavours of the beef rendang were not intense as in the past and lacked flavour. The coconut curry sauce with the roti canai was so...hot that it was not edible and one of the guests found hair in their food which was sent back. The beef in one of the noodle dishes was extremely chewy although there was an obvious over use of meat tenderiser. While the restaurant has been refurbished, it lacked character and the food was disappointing. We will not be returning in a hurry.More

Was excited to try this place for the last night of our holiday in London as it had a 4.1 star rating. Left very disappointed. For a start, I never ended up getting my tap water. The rest of my family’s drinks were brought out...except mine. Then, my dad’s main course was brought out first before any starters, then the rest of the mains (apart from my mum’s) straggled out alongside the starters. My mum waited a further 10 minutes for her main course which she was not impressed with, and they forgot the prawn crackers. There was hardly any chicken in my curry and what chicken I had seemed a bit funny. Not to mention it was very small and cramped. Service was terrible too. Would not recommendMore

Love the food here. My favourites dishes are hainanese chicken rice, barbecue platter for two, chicken wings, roti chana and vegan char kway teow noodles. The service is fine and the price has increased but worth to visit for a date and nice food.

Been here twice now. The food is always full of flavour and the portions generous. Wish the lychee mocktail was a bit bigger but other than that it's our go to place. One big positive: the toilets are really clean & spacious ( a rare...thing in London!).More

Visited Rasa Sayang on Bank Holiday May Day. I’ve always been a frequent customer but unfortunately this is the final straw. We had the worst server imaginable. We were told to head downstairs and that orders were going to be taken late as the kitchen...was busy. This was understood and she even suggested that it was going to be a 10 minute wait. After 20 minutes, I enquired on how much longer we had to wait. She immediately became incredibly defensive for some unknown reason and told us in no uncertain terms that if we did not like it we can just leave. She also asked us to speak to the manager. The manager came over and apologised. While he was doing it, she actually had the audacity to inform us loudly she will not be serve us at all. All while serving a different table! The table beside was equally appalled by her incredibly rude behaviour. To the manager’s credit, he actually apologised on her behalf and sent her upstairs and we got a different server instead. Unfortunately, the food is also disappointing. The chicken rice definitely tasted like old rice. It wasn’t fluffy anymore and the rice was actually hard and crunchy in places. This was an abysmal experience at Rasa Sayang. Sad to say, they’ve lost a loyal customer. Would give this 0 stars if I could.More

Felt the Malaysia/Singapore heat in this restaurant with the 'wok hei'. The foods were authentic as one can get in these countries. Tasty, flavourful and mouth watering. Highly recommended.

Great authentic Chinese food. The satay was particularly lovely with a hot peanut sauce. The Chicken Rice was not quite as authentic but delicious. If you want good Chinese food this is a must!

This was the third time I've visited and by far the most exceptional experience I've had to date. We were a fairly large group of 10 and only had to wait a few minutes for seating downstairs considering we went at about 4 on a...Friday. The service and staff were impeccable, especially Alice who was lovely and friendly, she helped us choose and recommended some great dishes to try as well as making the experience extremely memorable reminding me of Singapore. The food was outstanding with the Char Kway Teow be my favourite cooked to perfection and the portion sizes being well worth the price. The food also came out quite fast, within around 10 minutes and was served at the same time. The atmosphere was great and does change depending on the time you go with many families and friends enjoying their meals which made it really warm and welcoming. Alice also taught some of us how to use chopsticks if we didn't already know and then made it extremely easy for us all to split the bill and take any left over food home with us allowing us to enjoy the great food once again. I would highly recommend for authentic Singaporean and Malaysian food in the heart of London with lovely welcoming staff.More

Good service, delicious food and nice selection of dishes. The only snag was that they had run out of any type of chicken curry and it was only 1800 on a Saturday.

Visited with wife on a weekday and managed to squeeze in just before mid-day closing at 14.30. We had Chicken Rice and steamed broccoli. Bith dishes were very good and tasted almost genuine. The rice was however not as good as the rice you get...at a proper Singaporean hawker stall. But still a very nice meal.More

I've been here before almost over three years ago, I think, and it was chaotic and okay. Recently, a Malay friend insisted we go there to celebrate Chinese New Year. Initially, when she mentioned the place, I knew I had heard of it but didn't...put it in the same place in China Town. I was not disappointed. The service was efficient and friendly, and the food also was delicious. So much so, I felt I had found my new little joint to frequent when I go to Soho as my regular Chinese place over the years has lost its quality and to the point, it changed hands under new management, and I was unable even to entertain the idea of giving a try. The place was dead, soulless, and the waitress useless. I walked out. Back to Rasa. Roti Canai is excellent. Char Kway Teow, Seafood in flat rice noodles - again perfect. Hainanese Chicken Rice is tasty. Service is quick and efficient. The place is clean. Every dish I could see looked tempting for my next visit.More

I don't know if they take bookings but it does get busy so call them and see to avoid disappointment. But it is somewhere where "leisurely" and "meal" don't belong in the same sentence.
