I visited here with some friends for a social dinner in August. The menu was very original, and all dishes were well executed and tasted great. The restaurant has some nice quirky hints, and presentation was very good. One of our party could not eat gluten, cows milk, meat or fish, and still found options on the menu which were... More

Service is really nice, atmosphere is amazing. One of the best coffees I ever had, and I like good coffee. Breakfast was really delicious. If you are around Exmouth market, Caravan is great choice for good coffee and nice breakfast.

We decided to go here for Sunday brunch as we have fond memories of the area. Before we set off we checked the website which said that it was open until 4pm. When we arrived at 2.25 we were told that actually it was closing at 3pm on that day. The person who spoke to us was very apologetic but... More

We decided to grab a bite at Exmouth market on a Sunday afternoon with some friends. The nightmare started as soon as we requested a table for 4. We were asked where was the 4th person (he was supposed to arrive 30 minutes later) and we were told that we could not get a table for 4 if we were... More

We went out for a spot to eat here on Saturday around 16.00. The place looked busy and buzzing which is a good sign. I am not sure about the decor and what they tried to achieve with it but it has a very confusing look and character. We where left to our own devices and sat at a table... More

Recently went to the much talked about Caravan for brunch with my fellow foodie friend and we were not disappointed! The real hipster decor and quirky staff were very welcoming and the menu was very impressive with an amazing selection of healthy dishes as well as cool juices, smoothies, coffees etc I got scrambled eggs with salmon which was amazing followed... My friend and myself dropped by Caravan last night. The atmosphere was electric, the service pleasant enough, and the ambiance wonderful. The food however left me feeling ripped off. The mains are incredibly expensive coming in at about £17 so we both decided to order two small dishes each, which weren’t cheap either, coming in at £8.00 each. What we... More

While the service is brilliant - so so friendly and welcoming, the food is quite a letdown value-wise. The small plates are tiny and cost around £8 so be prepared for a big bill or eat before you go. I was disappointed to see there were no flat breads / pizzas on the menu like at the Caravan near Kings... More

Description
Stunning new restaurant opened by the head chef from the Providores, who's name I think is Miles Kirby. Really exciting food, even at breakfast! But at dinner it seems packed and there's a real buzz to the place. The coffee, which they roast and grind downstairs, is sublime. The winelist, affordable and varied with many discoveries. It's obviously a restaurant that's here to stay!

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
