We stopped in as it was recommended by our hotel. It was our first trip to London and this place did not disappoint. The fish and chips were fantastic and the smashed peas were a great surprise. My husband does not eat peas and asked for an extra helping of these! We befriended Grazina within the first five minutes and she took great care of us. I mentioned a nut allergy when my hubby decided to order the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Grazina sold us on their Sunday roast and we made a reservation to return the following day. We are vegetarian and this roast was PHENOMENAL and Grazina rememered the nut allergy and cleared it with the chef before we even arrived. We enjoyed this place so much we returned on our last night to say good-bye to the staff and Grazina. I cannot wait to return to London and this will again be our first stop on the next trip!

Showed up for Sunday roast and was not disappointed. Chicken was well made and seasoned along with all the sides. The chips for the fish and chips were perfectly crispy on the outside and tasty throughout. One of the best Sticky Toffee Puddings I’ve had. Oh and appreciated the alcohol free drink selections.

I came here specifically for the pies and it didn't let me down! I first saw The Jack Horner featured on Top Chef London as one of the pubs the contestants visiting on a pub crawl, sampling classic British pub food. When I did a bit of additional research I became starry-eyed over the pie menu. I'm a sucker for a savory pie.
Lo and behold, not only do they have an extensive savory pie menu, but also a pie sharing board for 2, which features 3 mini pies and a small Cornish pasty, along with various sides and gravy. I fantasized about this pie sharing board for months leading up to my trip to London, and when it was place on the table in front of me it was everything I hoped it would be.
Everything was delicious, there was plenty of food for both of us, and I loved being able to try such a variety of foods at once.
The others who joined us at dinner also loved their meals! Two of them got full-size (not mini) pies and another got the fish and chips and added on a side of curry sauce. High marks all around.
I highly recommend The Jack Horner not only if you love pie, but generally if you are looking for a great pub to visit when in the area. The ambiance was great, service was good, and the prices were reasonable considering this is London :)

An OK-ish London boozer, which specialises in pies. We recently visited here on a quick visit to London. While the food was not bad, although somewhat over-priced even for London, the service was somewhat haphazard.
Firstly the first round of drinks took an eternity to arrive, and then trying to get anyone’s attention for a second round of drinks was a mission. Then while eating our starters, they started to bring out the main courses and one person’s starter never arrived at all..
The fish and chips I ordered was OK, though nothing special, and did not really justify the high price tag. Overall would not rush back

Beautiful English pub, which unfortunately is reflected in the prices, which are decidedly too high. We order a fish pie for two, we have never tasted it and we take it easy. The taste is delicate, we are happy with the choice. The scones with strawberry jam are equally tasty, but really expensive. The bill with two pints of beer was £46, a lot considering we ordered a main course and a dessert with two pints of beer. The traditional pub is fine, ok that we are in the center of London, but it is really too expensive.

A busy well presented pub on London's Tottenham Court Road.
It is clean, well looked after and well decorated. No loud background music is a real bonus.
There is a very good choice of beers, lagers wines and spirits available. The menu while not extensive offers the usual pub fare and some specials.
The food is very good indeed, fresh, nicely prepared and presented, hot and tasty. It's a real plate full as well.
We could not fault the service, all of the staff we met were polite, friendly and attentive. Well done guys.
Not bad value for money for London, possibly a little above average for this type of pub.
We would quite happily go back

We booked to have an evening meal here.
We opted for the fish pie and a steak pie both were lovely. We have selected the scones for dessert.
I would have scored our experience as an excellent, but the one part that for us let the venue down was the bill.
We had a couple of drinks from the bar which we’d been up and got ourselves.
When paying, we were simply told the amount and we duly paid it. It wasn’t until we left, we found on the receipt that 12.5% service charge is automatically added. This equated to £12.
I just felt the venue should have been more transparent at the time we paid our bill. It’s not mandatory to pay a service charge and we should have been given the option.
I’m sure it’s probably mentioned somewhere on the menu but I have to be honest we didn’t see it. We always leave a tip but it would not have been £12.
Lesson learned for us.

Was walking back to my hotel after finishing the marathon and was finally hungry. The folks their celebrated my achievement when honestly they didn’t need to (thank you), provided great service and everything about the Sunday roast was on point though the gravy was extra. Thank you to the staff!

We called in to this pub on our way back to our hotel from a visit to the tourist attractions of central London. At that time, we were greeted by friendly staff & just order drinks.
The following day, we decided to have some food, again on our way back to the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our second visit. Give it a try if you are nearby. Only 5 mins walk from Tottenham Court Road Underground station.
Coming from Northern England, we were initially surprised by the 12.5% service charges in London generally. Be prepared for that if you've not been to London for a while like us.

Delicious Sunday roast for adults and children. This pub had great service, a nice menu selection, and great pub feel. We just happened to visit on Sunday for an early dinner and were able to experience an English Sunday roast meal.

During our stay in London we had passed there more than once and one evening we decided to eat fish & chips and went in. Typical English pub with very English guests. We had a taste of Cornish pastri and then 3 portions of fish & chips and 4 lagers, all very good. Very friendly waiters but the prices are a little expensive.

My son and I stumbled into this really cute pub. We were intending on a light lunch prior to a heavier dinner. Looking at the specials was a steak and ale pie. Being from America, our idea of pie is, of course, the fruity kind, but being adventurous eaters, we decided to get the pie and give it a go.
It was absolutely delicious! From the crust to the filling, the pie was delicious! For all the not adventurous eaters out there, do try the meat pies in this place. You won’t regret it!!! My son proclaimed it to be the best food experience of our 5 days in London!!
As an aside, we did also order a BLT in case the pie did not work out for us. It was really big — more than enough to split between two people (just don’t forget the ‘chips’ on the side of a sandwich are fries to us).

A nice pub that specializes in cottage pies There are several kinds. Staff is friendly and service is quick.Atmosphere is pleasant. Some reviews said it was expensive. We had cottage pie with meat for two people. It came with 3 veggies. Including nonalcoholic drinks it was 54 pounds total for two people. I don't see that as outrageously expensive for London. I recommend it highly.

Was made very welcome here by the staff. Never left our seats. Lady who served us, truly looked after us. Pie and mash was amazing, wife had a sourdough sandwich with chips, extra chips and 1 pint and 2 halves of Asahi. The bill was £35ish. Excellent value. Nice haven from the shopping for blokes (lol)

Quite a big pub with ple Ty of seating. The bar has got a great selection of beers on the tap. The pictures were from the Pub's Christmas dinner so don't expect to be able to order Christmas pudding during the summer.
