Great food in a cosy setting!

Visited recently while staying with friends in Greenwich; they recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint! We were quite lucky and able to get a table at short notice, it's not the biggest place so I would suggest booking in advance. They have a really good choice of food and drink... read more

Went there as foursome. Recommended by one of us who' d eaten there previously. European\ Mediterranean cuisine I suppose. Venue pleasantly spacious and certainly not overcrowded for a Friday evening. Food by no means spectacular. In fact rather predictable. 3 of us had the squid starter. Same old same old squid rings in batter with ubiquitous salad tartare sauce. 2... More

A nice restaurant with a good range of food which suited all our family. Pasta was well presented and steak and duck were just right. A small range of desserts but all were home made.

It is an intimate little South American restaurant in Greenwich. The portions are of a good size and the quality is good. The seafood doesn't taste very fresh, but this is London after all. The prices are a little on the high side. A good drinks menu with a delightful ambience including a talented gutiarist.

Visited The Hill tonight on a family recommend. It has turned out to be even better than expected. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was 10/10. I will pass the word on about this great little gem.

I visited The Hill for the first time last night with friends and we will definitely be making a return visit. The food and the service were both very good. I had a starter of Butternut Squash soup, followed by Magret de canard aux groseilles (pan fried duck breast in a redcurrant sauce served with curly kale) with a green... More

I went with a friend of mine who lives in the zone and he hadn't gone before. We were sitting next to the bar and we listened how the chef shout in Spanish to a waiter and it was very uncomfortable because the waiter was very nervous. The tapas were not especial, pizza was good. Not good quality-price relationship. We... More

I LOVE this place. This is probably my favourite Italian/Mediterranean restaurants in London. Great food, friendly staff and atmosphere. They take tastecards on week days which makes it extremely good value.

Lovely late lunch as we arrived from the Isle of Wight, service was friendly and swift even though there was a large birthday party going on which added to the atmosphere. Lovely goats cheese salad and bottle of wine. Would love to return for dinner soon.

A really enjoyable restaurant to visit. Good local vibe and the service was excellent. Our food was very good. Especially the fillet steak!

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
