Visited here. Service: Fairly Good Staff: Amazing Chef: Undedicated Food: Horrible. Burnt fried gyozu. Watery flavorless ramen. Verdict: Never going back.

We had a lunch at this restaurant close by the river Thames. I loved the spicy beef ramen. It was very tasty and l would definitely go back! Good service

This is an easy one. It's wagamamas. What's to review? It''s the same everywhere. Free green tea and glasses of water are always good and the chicken katsu curry is a winner every time.

Went here for something to eat while down London on business. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was fresh, spices and hot with alround good atmosphere. Staff were very efficient and polite. Excellent. One criticism would be the seating. Would be better with cushions on the bench seats. Only a personal thing to me. 5 ratings from me.

When Wagamama came out in the '90 was a great concept, expression of a London centre of the Earth. The city was buzzing, music, art, fashion... and the food revolution was just starting. A Japanese ramen noodles restaurant was a great idea... 24 years later it is quite sad to walk into a Wagamama and eat food that is far... More

Never heard of Wagamama, as we are from Canada. The first time we went, the place was packed, but the servers were all just great. So friendly! Watching the kitchen team work ( open kitchen) is worth the price of the meal itself. Priced very reasonably, clean, fresh food, fun atmosphere and some great imported Asian beer to wash all the... I have made an online order for take out which contained Chilly Squid. When I arrived to pick the order up, i was told that the whole company doesn't have Chilly Squid, even though the website had allowed me to buy them. I was told that I have been called to be informed that the dish is not available, and... More

It's either this or Nando's when staying at the hotel on this road. I've been to Nando's several times so decided to try this Wagamama. Food was fine and service respectable. However, the side order of kimchi was more like a taster than a side order, same with the miso soup. The ramen main was OK but not packed with... More

It was my second visit to wagamama and my first at this particular venue. The waitresses where warm and helpful, the food good and prompt and the location modern. When I informed my server that I had an allergy and I would like to swap out the chicken broth for a vegetable one , she took my order with no... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
