Went to The Hercules with my husband and 2 kids after visiting The Imperial War Museum. Fabulous tasty roast of chicken and beef plus such friendly staff attentive staff! I really hope this pub survives lockdown no. 2 as I want to come back in...December and next summer! Great pub!!!More

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was super. The beers were well kept. The fish and chips were ace. Really good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Looking for a place to eat after spending the day at the IWM (and also needing to get out of the pouring rain) we saw this place and were not disappointed! The waitress was so attentive as soon as we walked in and all aspects...of social distancing and track and trace were adhered to. We were sat in a really nice table and food and drink came out quickly. Yes it may seem a little expensive, but this is central London more or less. Also the place was in good upkeep (didn't look dated or tatty at all) and the toilets were really nice! Overall a really nice time, the staff are a credit to this place!More

Poor food and service. Went here to take advantage of eotho and would have been pretty annoyed if it weren’t for the discount. The food just looked as if no effort had gone into it and the service was pretty subpar too

What a lovely little find of a pub. Brilliant service, really well set up in this weird COVID new normal and a clean, bright environment. Defo recommend!

We ate here on Friday night and it was very, very busy and loud. I don't mind a busy pub but it's worth mentioning for those who like a more cosy pub! Our waiter was polite but it took a while to get his attention...- once we'd ordered, food was quick to arrive. We had fish & chips, chicken schnitzel, and sausage & mash - decent portions and very tasty. Drinks are reasonably priced and bar staff were attentive and quick to serve.More

We enjoyed a nice pub lunch here. Unfortunately the menu appeared to be limited as several of our top choices for both food and drink weren't available. Our second-and third- options were still good however.

We chose this pub for breakfast due to being the closest to our hotel. We were the only table at 10am but service was quick, efficient and friendly waitress. We both had a Full English priced at £11 each - we were offered a choice...of how we would like our eggs and when the dishes arrived it was accompanied by wholegrain toast. Why not offer the guest between white or brown toast? The food was hot but I didn’t eat much of the scrambled eggs because they tasted quite lumpy but everything else was prepared well. When we asked for the bill we said to the waitress we were going to split the total. She presumed we were going to pay for what we had each rather than asking us how we were going to split it and proceeded to present me with the card machine with a total already entered! We clearly had a £20 note and a card on the table and having worked in hospitality myself, I was quite surprised that we weren’t asked how we wanted to split the bill!More

Very old pub that is right across from the Park Plaza Waterloo hotel, with typical English food, fair prices and within walking distance to railroad station.

Went there twice in the same month only for convenient reason as I live locally. Staff is not overly friendly, they really make you feel that they would rather be elsewhere. Food is just ok, the average quality that you can find in such a...pub. Wasn’t impressed by the chicken burger which was quite dry. Starters are ok, but expensive for what you get. The Three Stags or the Black Prince further down the road serve much better food in comparison.More
