Hazev Restaurant offers an exceptional Anatolian dining experience both with our menu and our atmosphere. Our carefully curated menu is a reflection of its iconic Anatolian and Mediterranean heritage. You’ll find a vast selection of hand prepared hot and cold meze, small plates for sharing, including the classic HAZEV style hummus dip, made in-house to a secretly guarded recipe along with our freshly baked, warm Turkish pide bread. The signature charcoal grill known as the Mangal, tempts you with succulent Shish Kebab, skewered meats and fish while other mains include traditional casseroles and seasonal specials. Woeful value. We ate tasty and tender chicken Dishes but at £17 a plate expected a little more than 5 oxo cubed sized pieces of meat and a few flat bread croutons. Very poor value and need to go and grab a sandwich after. Poor value and won’t be going again. Avoid until they fix this. Appreciate costs are going up but this is mean.

They had a good range of food. Overall quality of food, decor and service was ok.
We ordered one main course which was called something like iskender.. a mixed grill in sauce.
It was nice, cant complain about it apart that I didnt like the bread in the sauce it was hard.
One main course, chips and two 2 drinks for about £32 is more than pricey for a meal out by my standards as Ive three course indian curries for under £20.
Obviously due to eating customers did not wear masks, but as the staff were not eating should they not have been wearing masks.
Only tried this place as it was halal and wanted to try some Turkish food.
Unlike some reviews we did not find staff to be particulary rude though the waitress did forget the chips, so we had to ask again.
Was ok for a sort of one off.

The waiting staff are excellent, attentive, polite and pleasant so well done for that. The food didn't blow me away, mixed grill was meat, a mound of couscous and few lettuce leaves and some beetroot from memory. Would have been a lot nicer with some sauce, or tzatzkizi or something and some bread of some sort.
The riverside setting was nice.

The restaurant was cold, lots of people eating in their coats.
The food arrived cold and had to be sent back, still cold rice and cous cous.
The food was very bland, both my husband and I had stews and I could have made it more flavourful myself. They were also small portions. Sons fish and chips were better but fries were also cold.
It was a very expensive meal for what it was and we went away extremely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend.

I went there today with my wife and son at about 5pm. It was not a peak time so there were only about 2 or 3 other tables in use with around 10 or so customers in total.
We ordered three main courses (two mixed grills and one meatball dish).
After the order was taken, we waited and waited but there was no sign of our food. After more waiting, we asked what was going on and one of the servers informed was the food was on the way! Other Turkish restaurants we visit regularly across the river (in Greenwich) serve you things like bread, olives and dips while you waited for the main meal. But here there was no such thing. When I mentioned this to them they said they used to give these before but not any more.
So when the food turned up after a very long time, they served the meatball dish and only ONE of the mixed grills! The server told us the other dish was on the way, so we started to eat. The mixed grill was much smaller portion compared to other Turkish restaurants we frequent and the meatball dish was bland, lacking flavour and lukewarm. We ate both dishes and yet there was no sign of our other dish. There was no salad and no dips like other Turkish restaurants.
We were charged £35.10 for the two dishes and two glasses of non-alcoholic soft drinks (and tap water).
Overall: food lacking flavours, poor customer service, over-priced
Nice location, nice restaurant, but will never go there again! Please avoid.
This is the first restaurant review I have given in many years. Bitterly disappointed!

Better not eat here. Food was very bad, the service was bad, and overpriced for this food. For these prices, you could eat tasty food in some upscale restaurants. this kebab restaurant was so dirty that we had to leave our food.

celebrated my birthday here on Saturday 18th June and had a wonderful experience.
I had eaten here previously for lunch as a solo diner and was really impressed with the standard of service and as a result booked the place for my birthday.
When I approached the team about celebrating my birthday there was no mention at all of cost. Instead I was sold by the value they said they would add to my birthday to make it special for me when discussing the proposed date and was informed I would be offered a free cake and cocktail which they delivered on given the current climate we are in.
The food was great, my guests who joined me were also satisfied with the portions, taste and service. I will definitely dine here again and recommend it to others👌

So disappointed
Two meals came out cold and were not replaced in a reasonable time so the rest of us had finished our dinner .
My wife was served a coffee and the milk was off.
I then had to ask for the service charge to be removed !,
I wrote to the restaurant on the Monday to express my disappointment and it is now Wednesday night with no response .
They obviously don’t care

I am never disappointed at Turkish Restaurants across the world, in U.K., in Spain, or somewhere else. Regardless of location or even social class! staff is usually very polite with a good knowledge of the menus.
About the experience, I had the Sahan Menu composed of “Mercimek Corbasi” & Tavuk Sis. The bread was half way crunchy and soft, the red lentils were delicious, not very spicy and the Grilled Chicken Shish was also delicious, although the dish was not well-cooked the concern was raised with the lady in charge of the restaurant who offered an answer from herself quite reasonable.
Baklava was apparent on the dessert’s menu. In the end I selected the creamy Turkish ice cream 🍦 .
Would definitely come back, the majority of the staff members were sympathetic and polite.

Had a very disappointing visit to this place last week. The servers were nice but pretty useless. The food was dry and had no flavor. Undressed side salad, insipid couscous and no sauces with with kebab. I commented that the hummus wasn't great and the server heard me but took it and said nothing. Servers had no idea what cutlery to give and overall was £130 for two drinks and a a poorly made kebab.

I live in the area and have been here many times and have fond memories of coming here for meals and for drinks with friends.
Came for a meal and the place has clearly gone downhill. Staff are nice, but often milling around looking a bit bored, chatting to one another and not putting a lot of attention into customers.
Food is okay but nothing mind blowing, basically home cooking standard and with small portions. The prices are ASTRONOMICAL. I was paying 5* luxury restaurant prices, that cannot be justified by the food, service and ambience. £60+ for a modest meal for 2 is ludicrous.
I think the owner is being extremely greedy and short sighted in charging far more than the food or service is worth in order to line his own pockets, which will only work against this place in the long run.
Have to agree with the other reviews that say this place was far better 4 years ago. I used to see it as a nice local spot but now I sadly have to call it a RIP OFF.

Ordered the menemen - I have never seen menemen like it. It was scrambled eggs, no onions, no seasoning, no peppers and a thumb nail of a tomato skin. It was bland and quite frankly ridiculous to have it on your menu for £12 as sold as something it isn’t. it should be half the price and called plain scrambled eggs. I suggest you find a recipe on google and try again. Gutted I didn’t take a photo or complain to the manager.

I used to be a regular when I worked nearby about eight years ago ie a minimum two to three times a month and whereas one would expect prices to have gone up, I would not have expected this to be by 150%. It was just after noon and I was the only person in this large restaurant. A main course at £18 is the same price as I pay locally in Kent at my local Turkish for two courses and a large beer. Granted it was well cooked but no better.

My family of 12 had the best experience here for my Birthday meal, we had a table booked for 6pm. The food was delicious, I had the lamb shank, it was gorgeous, plenty of everything for all at the table, the staff were awesome, they were happy, friendly and helpful. They sang me ‘Happy Birthday’ which was a sweet surprise and whilst singing, placed a great big slice of chocolate cake in front of me! Lovely! We all agreed that we would definitely come again, thoroughly recommend it.

We had Mediterranean Breakfast platter with Turkish Tea and I had the Falafel Wrap also with Turkish Tea and were both delicious and fantastic. The honey drizzle for the cheese was awesome. Great atmosphere and service from the staff.
