About
Nestled discreetly inside 1 Park Crescent – a stone's throw from Oxford Street – is The Thirsty Scholar. Our purse-friendly former members' bar requires a little navigation before you can settle into an evening of booze-fuelled fun. But it's worth the effort; this is a place for coffee connoisseurs and night owls alike, serving coffee from 7 am and tipples until 3 am on weekends. The building also houses a vast, multi-function space for workshops, exhibitions, live music, and corporate functions. All profit generated from bar and venue sales goes back into the leading charity - ISH - So you can feel philanthropic too!

I think this is a student bar - we just sort happened across it and as one of our group had the right ID and we were soon enjoying a reasonably priced beer - a DJ was playing and a good few people were dancing. Good atmosphere.

As lockdown is opening up just wanted to mention this local place of mine which I highly recommend if you are in the area weather you want a great coffee or drink or something to eat. Breakfast is always served with a smile from Olga. Coffee expert Sakis always makes a good coffee the bar staff Ariana and Shaday are always pleasant and attentif and all the staff who are working at the time and who always make it a great visit every time I go. And not to forget the Pizza there served from the afternoon is the best in the area in my opinion. And to top it off the prices are very reasonable compared to the other venues in the area offering these services. For this revue I put down that I was there for coffee or tea but have been many other times for food and drink

Had been looking forward to a lovely evening, but ended up waiting 1,5 hour for our drinks to arrive after asking multiple times. The staff was getting aggressive too.

Tricky to find but worth the effort. Laid back atmosphere, some cheap drinks on offer, great wine list and decent pizza.
