A gastro style pub with a good atmosphere. Tables in the bar area but also a separate dining area at the back for a more restaurant experience. Good choice of food which comes well presented and tastes delicious. Excellent and fresh produce. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good choice of wines and spirits. A good option for couples or groups... More

This is one of the most delicious meals I've had, beatifically presented and full of flavour. The waiter was somewhat disinterested but courteous when he served us - but just cannot fault the food. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely well presented and tasteful food. We ate there 2 nights whilst staying in the area. It was the hottest day of the year so I had the Bolingbroke Salad which was delightful. My husband had a salad and my son had the cottage pie which he thoroughly enjoyed. I can recommend this bar for some quality food.

11 of us went for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Menu included roasts but other things too. Service was prompt and food well prepared and good quality. This is the second time we have eaten here and both times were very good. Extra gravy, horseradish etc was provided quickly when asked.

Me and a friend went on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Greeted with a smile and moved us swiftly to our table. Good selection of wines and the Bloody Mary was very tasty. We got some homemade bread with oil which was nice. Both went for the lamb roast however there are a lot of options. Probably came out a bit... More

Visited this place with family for dinner on Friday night. We did not make a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us even though it was busy. Food was delicious, steak was cooked just how I liked and everyone seemed happy with their meal. Nice and quiet in the dining area. Not 5 stars as it is missing something... More

Pretty average food with average service. When we found some dish washer sponge in one of the meals, the wait staff were off hand. When we made more of it we were offered a free desert which we didn't want. It all seemed a bit hard. We had a tastier meal with better service at the Wondertree at Gatwick airport!

Good lively bar with a real atmosphere. Sunday lunch is very good. Service can get a bit stretched but always very pleasant

We have been twice for Sunday lunch recently and had great food and service on both occasions. A very friendly and relaxed place. Families and their dogs made welcome. I would recommend the roast beef with superb Yorkshires and the pork with lots of lovely crispy crackling.

We booked the Bolingbroke for a special Friday night dinner as it looks appealing from the outside and the menu seemed interesting especially the amount of fish options. We arrived full of hope but sadly we were very disappointed. I had the beam which was poorly cooked, the skin was flabby not crisp and the general taste was of fish... More
