Very kind man servicing us. He speaks many languages and brought flower cucumbers to our son. Dishes were big and tasty. I would definitely go back when I visit London again. Price though is a bit high, as we didn't order any drinks

This Chinese restaurant is tucked away in a small side road in central London. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Loved the crispy beef.

Excellent restaurant, superb food, and being in central London prices are relatively cheap, wider range of Chinese food available (Duck, lamb, Chicken, Prawn etc), portions are quite filling for a person, Restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming, staff excellent and as said above food was very good. We pre-booked the table recommended if your going on weekend very busy.... More

Terrible. On arrival waitress looked confused people were arriving in a restaurant. Starters of spring rolls and duck were passable. Chicken in cashew nuts (how a chef can get that wrong) was bland. The chilli bed was soggy and awash in a vinegary juice. Paid and left. Wasn't asked why the food was left uneaten although I did tell the... More

The Maximini is the local Chinese near Paddington and has some very fine features. The internal ambience is good, the menu selection is interesting and features a range of Malaysian as well as Chinese items. So it was a surprise to see Beef Redang on the menu but that was fine. The staples are there from Stir fried beef with chillies... More

For dessert ordered deep fried ice cream and banana toffee dessert and can highly recommend both but my fav was banana one which you can easily share with the other... More

Live nearby and get pick up or eat there very frequently ... so thought i'd post a review. This might not be a starred restaurant, but it's great, clean nice authentic chinese food. A million times better than what you'll find in chinatown, so if you're around don't hesitate.

Like shoe designing, whipping up a great dish is an art, says Jimmy Choo who has ventured in to the world of food with Maximini, an oriental restaurant near Hyde Park where the celebrity shoe smith is bringing a slice of his Malaysian home to Britain. As beautifully dressed as any of Jimmys A-list clients, Maximini is simplistic and chic with a hint of old fashioned colonial style which perfectly suits its fabulous Bayswater address. The irresistible Malaysian dishes are fused with more familiar Chinese flavours by master chef Albert Koh, to produce an innovative and exciting menu which, like a timeless pair of heels, looks set to become this seasons must-have.
