We ate here on our recent trip to London. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is good. Service was good.

Spacious, airy restaurant with great staff and a menu that's a bit different to your average Indian so don't expect to find all the usual dishes. Very fresh, well prepared, novel and very tasty. Good dessert menu.

We ordered one thali each, and we got a lot of food. My butter chicken was more spicy than I thought.

When you order 4 poppadoms for 4 people you don't really expect to be served 2 poppadoms cut into halves, do you ??? That's what you get at Masala Zone. I think that is really mean and penny pinching. The main courses are very small also. And don't get my husband started on the cost of a small bottle of... More

I last visited the Masala Zone in Bayswater a couple of years ago, and I had good memories of the experience. So on my most recent trip to London I went back. Things were not all that I remembered. The food was okay, but the quality wasn't the same as my previous visit. The servers were very pleasant, but their... More

Good Indian food and excellent service. Restaurant is bright and nice. The kids menu introduced my daughter successfully to Indian cuisine. Excellent Thalis.

Our second visit to this place. Great Ambience- clean and fun to sit. But food was very ordinary. Samosa was served without any chutney, on it or accompanied. May be because they sell Chutneys separately!! Very very few vegetarian choices. Curry was good but paneer tasted - burnt milk!! Daal good. Khichri - wish had not taken. Naans are the... More

Good general Indian food for the money. We've definitely had far worse in London, and I was surprised at the Indian food which Masala Zone had as I was expecting average food again. The portions are good, great for a week night Indian dinner or Take Out.

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
