I've got one pint of london IPA, a sandwich and a fish and chips, everything very good. There is a small and nice secret garden. Suggested.

During our week in London we visited The Porchester twice. We found the service top rate and very friendly. The food was really quite good. I had the special one afternoon - grilled chicken breast with Brie and carmalized onions. Fantastic! The shepherd's pie is wonderful, too. And the beer is cold and selection good. Can't go wrong with this... More

Was here for the euro games. Had two big screens up at either end. They served food late. Good selection. Offer different specials each evening. Good selection of beers. Some of the IPA's are not too great but there's enough to choose from

We were in London for almost a week and had three meals at the Porchester. It was pretty consistent each night. The staff were attentive and service was reasonably quick. It has a very relaxed family feel to it and they have made an effort with the decor. We liked the lamb shepherds pie the best!

Nothing much original or genuine about this place. Yes it's very nice, and the beers are ok (Youngs with a twist of a few others), but it's more like a bar from a nice Country Hotel, even the Staff at the bar appearing from a side room fits the profile. Very comfortable, with lots of seating/drinking choices. Has potential but... More

An early evening visit for a quick beer but unfortunately the Youngs Bitter was not good. Very disappointing since this is a Youngs pub and if they can't get that right.....

We visited this pub just on the off chance and was was greeted by a friendly member of staff who made us feel very welcome the lager was poured perfectly. The vodka lime and lemonade was PERFECT as the girlfriend said. We didn't order food here but everyone we saw eating looked very pleased with there food. We didn't eat... More

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
