1st Visit to Jamie's Italian was extremely disappointing. Visited the Canary Wharf restaurant on Sunday 21 August. Was told by the waitress that there was no garlic bread! Not being picky - but how can you have an Italian restaurant with no garlic bread?? Service was slow and the chairs uncomfortable. The food, however, was delicious, it not slightly over-priced... We went to Jamie's last night after going to the Jazz festival. The food is always delicious. I can't wait for all Jamie's to get the NEW menu with the pizza oven! The service was very good. I would highly recommend the gold card!

Tough steak, stroppy service; not impressed. Jamies canary wharf is packed with families with small children on a Saturday; couples be aware and set your expectations for less than average food, overwhelmed service and not a great night out.

I'm a big fun of James Oliver. Such a shame his crew deliver such a poor service at Canary Wharf brunch. In one instance I was served frozen tomato salad ( what about the fresh ingredients?) in another instance I was served freezing cold supper food salad. When I complained to the manager the answer was rice is a high... More

We were very disappointed with our meal. We are both Gluten Free and the very pleasant waiter checked with the chef what we could have that was Gluten Free. We ordered the vege burger (without the bun) with sweet potato fries/wedges. After waiting at least half an hour the waiter came over with menus in his hand and informed us... More

Took the lunch deal of two courses - all of us enjoyed our food. The deal offered a reasonable choice of starters, mains and desserts, and what we had was well cooked and tasty. The drawback was the background noise; the soundtrack was an acquired taste. Service was good and quick, perhaps as we had missed the rush hour. If... More

We discovered that this was just around the corner from our hotel, and as much out of curiosity as anything else we gave it a try for early evening dinner. The decor is OK - you can see what they're going for and they kind of pull it off, and the staff were reasonably friendly. I always roll my eyes... More

Huge restaurant, almost empty when we visited early evening. Service was however quite slow. Food OK - my ravioli was very good, but husband's spaghetti was overcooked. We were hungry after a day of walking so it was a welcome pit-stop, but atmosphere rather lacking, perhaps due to location, as our local Jamie's is always full to bursting.

Have eaten at several Jamie Oliver outlets in the last few years, generally at the invitation of friends because in my experience not one has been outstanding; in fact almost all have been a huge letdown. However, as far as standard Italian fare goes, the Canary Wharf offering was perfectly fine. The staff were friendly and efficient. The crab spaghetti... More

Description
JAMIE'S ITALIAN CANARY WHARF A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Jamie's Italian in Canary Wharf is a dynamic open-plan Italian restaurant that's always buzzing with activity. It's a great location for anything from a casual dinner with friends or a business lunch to an intimate meal or a big celebration. Plus, when the weather's nice the beautiful outdoor terrace is the perfect spot for watching the world go by with a nice cold glass of Prosecco and some nibbles.
