The Pizza looked like a Yorkshire pudding stuffed with 500 Grammes of melted cheese, it was inedible. The chips were burnt black. There is no ketchup available just a thin tomato dip which tasted like dirty dishwater and cost £2. There have no Gluten free...menu and seemed blissfully unconcerned that we did not eat our food. I have taken photos of the meal if anyone would like to see proof.More

Was really looking forward to this. Took my Mom on a day out and this was the worse part of it. Arrived and staff at the reception looked and sounded like I was making him a favour to be there. Cutting it short. Pizza arrived...and looking wise was almost there. Started eating it and..... OMG !!! 🤮 The most heavy and chewy cheese I have ever tried. Little tomato sauce and tasting raw. I always eat 1 full pizza and sometimes share in half second one. Here after 2 mini slices I was done. We asked to put the both left over in a box. My mom also left more than half. No questions asked. Paid the full bill. On the street I saw an homeless. Asked if he was hungry. He said yes. Gave the boxes to him. I was pleased to see him straight away digging into it. Went to a shop and walked back. He wasn't there anymore. We got curious if he would have finished the pizzas. Looked into the bag and he also didn't finish. Only took 2 bites. I would never step into this place again and I will make sure I will spread the word too. As paying 40£ for 2 mini awful pizzas and 2 soft drinks it's outrageous. If u walk there just take a step further or back and go to Pizza Pilgrims next door. That's a Pizza.More

We visited Japes on a Saturday afternoon - the restaurant was fairly lively but not too busy. We got the Garlic and Mozzarella Bread to share as a starter. I had the Chicago and my other half had the Classic. The pizzas were amazing; deceptively...filling. We will definitely return. Our only criticism is the service charge which appears to be increasingly commonplace; we'd rather be given the option to tip when service is particularly deserving.More

Out of the few restaurants I visited in London this had to be one I enjoyed the most. Wasn’t too busy. Deep Pan pizzas were excellent. I would go there again when I visit London again

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here as Japes is his favourite place to go. They accommodated our group of 15 people really nicely, we had such a great time. Staff even sang a birthday song to him and he got their brownie with a candle. I...mean, it was really special!More

As deep pan Pizza goes Japes is probably the best Pizza I have ever tasted. We ordered a Chicago which considered of pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan, tomato sauce, fresh basil. With a side order of fries and washed down with a fine Freedom Four Lager. As...it was a busy part of the evening Seating was scarce, but the waiting staff placed us by an outside table which had a constant wet floor as the table was next to a leaking roof. I did ask to be moved which they did as soon as a Table was free, and we continue to enjoy our Al fresco experience at this great looking Restaurant. Within a short while our Meal appeared, and it didn’t disappoint. The 300g of mozzarella, parmesan looked like Ambrosia. The Base had a light feel and taste with a delightful delicate tasting crust which I never experienced on a Pizza Pie. Finally, the Tomato sauce had a fresh clean taste with the Basil gave the whole meal taste of a traditional Italian Pizza. Combined with the Lager and fries it have to say it tasted even better than it looked. Top Marks for great Pizza Restaurant with great food and polite and friendly Staff. We will return.More

My husband and I love this style of food but hated the experience. Moody staff, saw that we barely ate the pizza and didn’t ask why nor did they remove the service charge. Please do not go here unless you want drinks as you will...not be happy with what you receive. Also, my husband was sick immediately after leaving from this. We had to rush around london to find a toilet.More

The place has good deep dish pizzas but, it's expensive, charges extra for ketchup (tomato dip) and has a mandatory service charge os 12%. Seems like a money minting scheme. Wouldn't be keen to visit again.

The chips were great. The pizza was overly dominated by the pepperoni. That was the ONLY flavour in the pizza. If you really love pepperoni, you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. Pepperoni heaven, that is. Two small cans of cider, one small "chicago...pizza" (not like the chicago pizzas i've had in chicago several times) one small salad, chips and two little servings of mayonnaise: £41! Including the obligatory service charge. Over priced in my opinion. Yes, i know, i don't work and live in London. Doubt i will return.More

Service could do with a bit of a care - think it’s cheeky that 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill. Especially with the service they offer. Good atmosphere but seats are very uncomfortable and the sofa seat isn’t great - do not...recommend sitting there. Other than that though - food is great. It’s a small pizza but very filling. Personally think the prices on the food are decent. Chips were a little burnt.More

There is an amazing version of chicken pizza which has buttermilk ranch instead of tomato sauce, and there is carbonara pizza which is full of carbonara sauce. All other pizzas have tomato sauce. Burgers are really tasty... More

I’m sure you can ask if you a specific topping added on the dish. Not sure if you can customise a while pizza or pot pie from scratch though.

Yes. Both Deliveroo and Uber have Japes on their website.
