Never had Georgian food before. It is great. The wine is amazing. We had the chicken to share as it is a large portion just like the starters

We were taken here by my son who was looking for something a little different. Georgian food certainly fit the bill. The staff are extremely pleasant and attentive, but I felt their ability to assist with the menu, given how different the food is, was a little lacking. I chose Adjaruli Khachapuri to start followed by Khinkali. The Adjaruli Khachapuri... More

Having been introduced to Georgian food at Aragvi in Moscow, we have found that this is the only Georgian restaurant in London that gets near to it. Excellent khatchapuri and satsivi and tasty chicken tabaka and a delicious honey and nut cake. The lady who served us was lovely. My only regret is that they don't have chakhokhbili on the... More

We had booked thos restaurant for 6:30, when we got there we were told out table wasn't ready, it was too early. One of the dishes i wanted was off the menu, there wasn't very much else that i fancoed. My starter was burnt on the outside and my husband's Borsht soup was completely tasteless. My dumplings as a main... More

A cosy little restaurant serving authentic Georgian cuisine. When I lived in Tbilisi I never paid more than about £10 a head for a meal out (inc wine); obviously a London restaurant would not be so easy on the wallet....So it was a little pricey for what we got but all tasty and served with a friendly smile. Khatchapuri (cheesy... More

I so much enjoy dining at Tamada. Natalya is always so lovely and greets me as does the proprietor Tamara. You know it is good as it is always filled with Georgian guests and many Russians who adore Georgian food. I love all the dishes, particularly the meatballs. They have a very nice meze platter I cannot liken Georgian cuisine... More

If you're anywhere near Abbey Road / St Johns Wood in London, make a detour to visit Tamada! Excellent food, wine and service. The filled dumplings in particular were lovely. The soup inside the dumplings is a treat in itself - part of the fun was trying to eat the dumpling without losing any of the liquid inside. Try the... More

I was looking forward to this evening with my girl friend who is ukrainian, and we both were disappointed by our experience in Tamada. Very nice service, clearly authentic staff. All the people on table spoke Russian or Georgian. Spent 100 pounds, 70 on food with no dessert, which we found not worth the price. Wine was ok. I wouldnt... More

Never had georgian food before and I was pleasantly surprised. Had the meze platter (which was great) and dumplings for main. The dumplings were tasty but next time I'd share the dish with other people as I'd like to try some other flavours as well.

Tamada is a lovely place: authentic georgian atmosphere with absolutely delicious Georgian food. Personnel are friendly and food was served in a good time. However, the restaurant could potentially attract more repeated customers if the portion size was a bit bigger, but than we are students :)
