After not being able to book anywhere for the semi final of the Euro's, we stumbled across this pub which had bookings, and asked for the table infront of the big screen (we had seen photos online). When it came to it, it turns out it was a private room! The room was a good size, excellent TV screen, fantastic speakers to which you could switch between music and the TV. The staff were so attentive (shout out to Sophie in particular), always made sure we were looked after, the chips were amazing! The beer selection was brilliant. The nicest gesture was that after the semi final, the pub actually contacted us and asked if we would like it for the final. Aside from the result it was a great night, and I am so pleased we found a place that gave brilliant memories from the Euro's. I will definatley be booking in the future!!

I used to use this place a lot when I worked nearby so knew it well. I visited it yesterday to have Xmas drinks with a mate. The service as ever was fantastic. Tomo my server would come over and offer me another pint when he saw my drink was low and when we decided to eat we were served by a lovely young girl whose name I can’t recall. The food was great as well the Fullers beers. The place is on three levels. The main bar is split in two levels and has lots of TV screens showing a variety of sports with a dining area on a slightly lower leveland has a lovely open, light feeling to the place. Downstairs is an inviting smaller bar with leather sofas and big TV screens for more sports. As usual, the place was very busy especially after 5pm but service was fast and efficient. Totally recommend this for group drinks or just a solo drink. It was great to be back and hope to visit again soon.

Sat downstairs where there’s no phone reception so you’ll have to sign up to WiFi. Watched football here, loads of screens, great for sport. Beer selection is meh. The staff really worked hard to get us sauces and I appreciated that. The chicken burger was so tasty, actually very good indeed but big problem. The portion of chips. I mean come on. You can’t serve up a half empty plate, at least fill it with salad to hide your shame. A half empty plate pffff it’s 2020, sort it out.

We started visiting The Pavilion End a few months ago being initially impressed at food. We followed through with an xmas booking which was good food but a mixed back in respect of service.
Today, first visit post xmas was really disappointing.
Staff were just engrossed in themselves and customers were an inconvenience.
That was from the dirty table which we had to ask to be cleaned, to the lack of water that was never delivered to the table, through to food portions which filled half the plate.
I actually asked for more chips but nothing appeared and the staff were obviously too busy shouting and joking amongst themselves to look after the two occupied tables. I'm not surprised in hindsight they were empty!
At the end of our meal we waited for the table to be cleared and in the end did it ourselves. We weren't asked if we wanted more wine, enjoyed our meal, like a coffee etc reflecting our feeling they just wanted customers to leave.
We did, and they did have the cheek to include a service charge. Just laughable.
So the restaurant business continues to whinge about a downturn and lose even more customers through poor service and quality.

Great location in picturesque Watling Street near St Paul's Cathedral. Had steak for lunch as part of the "Eat out to help out" campaign, washed down with a couple of pints of London Pride ale. Tasty home cooked chips but could have done with a few more as highlighted in a previous review! Friendly and efficient staff offering table service.

We would have walked past this place from the outside, but someone on the street recommend it. So we went in. Great place and lovely decor. Totally different vibe from the outside. Busy and popular. Really friendly staff, who took time to make pleasantries and they served reasonably priced drinks.

Decent pub with a good selection of beers. Was absolutely rammed early Thursday evening, with a bit of a scrum of a scrum at the bar but the serving team coped well. Noisy but it was thirsty Thursday.

It was my first time visiting this bar. I accidentally actually got there as I needed the bathroom but me and my friends decided to stay for one and I am glad we did. The food is good, lovely selection of beers and music. The service of the staff on the bar and on the floor is amazing. The staff always smiling, very chatty and gave good recommendations for the food and drinks. They defiantly know what what customer service is ! There was no problem clean and a very nice vibe.

Yet again we went to our favourite place to meet some friends for lunch. And what a great time we had. A lady called Ugne looked after our very demanding table with such ease and in a fun way. She was FIRE! Thanks again Ugne we look forward to seeing you and the other members of staff soon.

NOT a Sports Bar. Big bluff on web site. Not true. Play music before during and immediately after game. No respect for timing. Start late miss KOs and generally terrible sports coverage.
If you are looking for sports don’t come here. Far better places close and far. This is NOT a sports bar in The City.

The staff in tis place are great. would recommend a visit for the interesting beers and good food, plus the staff are the most attentive you will find anywhere. You wont have an empty glass for long, but in a good way.

Just came back from the Pavilion End. Beautifully furnished English pub with a homely feel to it. The drinks were well poured and the food nice.
BUT the best thing about the pub is the staff! Lovely, curious and friendly. They made me feel at home and were always there help. One of the best Pubs in London because of this.
To the staff... Thank you so much you are all amazing!
Thank you

Amazing Football evening. We did not think it would work and the pub was really full. However the manger gave us a private lounge solely for the family. It was amazing. Sincere thanks for a great night out. Food and drinks were lovely. You really made it for us.

Booked out the downstairs bars for an all day business meeting and received great service form all the team. Good buffet, polite and attentive staff and a really decent atmosphere upstairs afterwards for a few beers - great venue

City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
