After being a regular at the pub quiz, I was very disappointed with a really unpleasant quiz mistress. She really spoiled the usually pleasant evening. I told her that she should speak a bit louder be a bit more congenial. Of course being direct in...England is not acceptable and I was not served by the bar manager thereafter. He even refused to give me the bill. What a dumb thing to do. We had to pay one of the reasonable staff!More

Came in without a reservation and was given a table fairly quickly. The food here was very nice and tasty. The portions were very large and decent. The service from staff was fantastic. Every time we walk past, the place is buzzing with people.

A very nice pub to enjoy a pint after work, a good enough selection of these pints. Music a bit too loud though. Nice service to match.

Our first visit was so good, we went for a revisit! Friendly service and excellent food. First visit was for Sunday roast. Orange juice (£3.05) was fresh squeezed. Cafe Latte (£3.00) was fresh brewed and affordable. Lamb shoulder (£17) was huge and incredibly tender. Half...chicken (£16.50) was excellent. Each roast plate came with tasty carrot/parsnips, sauted kale (done so that it was still bright green), cheesey cauliflower, and a good-sized Yorkshire pudding. Exceptional deal. Second visit was for dinner. Crispy duck tacos--2 per order (£6) were Asian flavor and very good and excellent quality corn tortillas. Sheperds pie (£15) was a helathy portion, plenty of mashed potato...though could have used more meat...still very tasty. Do NOT miss out on having the Banoffee cheesecake (£7.50). This had to be one of the best desserts I've had in a while. I'd go back just for that! Overall, memorable meals...definitely worth a visit!!More

28 people for an evening meal, the food was excellent and piping hot. Not a single complaint. Special thanks to Andy who went out of his way to assist with the organisation and to look after us on the night.

Better gin than beer. The gin cocktails here are outstanding. I also got turned on to Fever-Tree tonic. This tonic is super delicious and noticeable more pleasant than all others.

The best cheesy chips ever! Jason one of the chefs, went out of his way to ensure I had a massive bowl of them even though they aren’t on the menu !

Delicious fish and chips in a pretty simple and classic pub. We paid 50£ for 3 lunches with no alchool, coffee or dessert. Kind of weird you have to order at the cashier and they don’t take table orders.More
