The food is a bit pricey but the plates are very well served. The 1kg of chicken wings is simply delicious, seems caramelized and crispy with a sweet blue cheese sauce.
The fish and chips is huge, very tasty and leaves you full. I would serve a bit more chips though.
The staff is always super nice. The family spent another great evening there!!!

Hello from Canada!
Just visited this pub for authentic Fish N Chips and Yokies after being highly recommended by our AirBnB host, Carol at the Lord Kensington Hotel.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!
Fish was lightly battered and perfectly cooked - fries were crunchy!
Yokies were puffy and flavourful, toast was perfect medium rare and gravy was delightful!
5 star +!!!

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. There was one waitress who was very sweet and warm, but there was another one who was absolutely atrocious with her customer service (she may have been a supervisor or manager actually!).
Given that it was a pub, we just grabbed a seat, but I realised later that we should have asked, so I understand that that was our fault, but I did not appreciate her awful manner. When she set the table, my mum was holding the menu up for her to set it and she said “I’ll grab it in a second” and my mum was just holding it up to make room… but she grabbed it from my mum and put it back on the table. SOO rude. This was one of many things she did and said.
She’s working in a very up-market area where we are paying a lot of money - even if it’s just at a pub - and good customer service skills should be a given.
We had beef Sunday roasts, which were very tasty but not everyone’s plate came with the same things (some had gravy missing, some had roast vegetables missing), and when we pointed it out, she brought over the veg a few mins later and banged them on the table. At this point we were all quite angry and annoyed by this behaviour. She took forever to bring the gravy that was missing, which led to food becoming a bit cold. I’m just so disappointed and will never recommend this pub or come back to it.

This is an average pub with exorbitant prices for drinks. I met some friends towards the end of the evening and ordered a mulled wine to get into the Xmas spirit. They'd already turned off the power heating the mulled wine so were expecting to throw it out (I assume). I didn't ask the price as I was expecting it to be around £5-6. The bar staff (nice enough) heated it up in the coffee steamer and I paid...only to find out that tiny glass of mulled wine was £8.50!!!! Whatttt???? It was just insulting. My friend had ordered a glass of wine and it was £14. Shockingly creative pricing IMO. No thanks.

Read by review of The Blackbird pub, just down the road, first…the story continues….After a terrible experience at a local pub we went looking for somewhere better. The Kings Head is a traditional British pub serving food and a big selection of drinks. All the staff were friendly and were courteously making sure all their customers were happy. Special praise must be given to Andrew who provided table service when our drinks were finished. What a contrast to The Blackbird, owned by the same company, Fullers.
Obviously a good experience is provided by the excellent standards of management and staff in one venue compared to the “couldn’t care less” attitude of staff in their other outlets. Choose your Fullers pub carefully.

Would not recommend going here for dinner. When we went to order food we were told that they only had 1-2 items off the menu available. That should have been our red flag but we choose to stay. The steak was tough and overpriced. The nachos were inedible. Would not recommend going here for food.

It's a clean pub with a relaxed atmosphere.
It's a little way off the main road so in a quiet location.
I didn't eat there so I don't know, but like all pubs, with the yen being weak, 1000 yen for a glass of beer is a bit steep for Japanese people.

Came for the Fish and Chips and they were SPECTACULAR! Classic British Pub on a small side street in South Kensington. Easy walk from the Xenia Hotel and Marriott. the fish and chips portions were huge - crisp, crunchy batter, tasty Haddock on the inside.

We rented and Airbnb right across the walkway to The Kings head and was so pleased to meet Bobby one of the Bartenders, She was super friendly and gave us great recommendations. the food and Drinks are so yummy and the service is fantastic. It is a very friendly place for anyone with any taste, The food was very fresh and with a variety. The bar served many great beers and we tried several over the week. It was our go to place and appreciated it very much. When we return we'll visit Bobby again and continue being amazed with their drinks, food and Bobbylicious service,

Service was good. Our waitress helped with finding the table.
We had burger and chips mainly because the menu is quite limited.
Pleasant enough. Thankfully not a brioche bun. Chips were ok but looked frozen. No salad or any kind of garnish.

We enjoyed an evening visit for a couple of beers and were impressed enough to book for a meet up with friends the following Monday evening.
The place did not disappoint and we enjoyed a good evening with excellent food and beer.
The all female bar staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. They were impressively good at their job and served the food and drinks as well as we could have wished.
The food was of excellent pub food quality and portions were generous and good value.

This is a lovely pub with a really interesting Australian heritage. The staff are polite and the food is OK. The one thing that absolutely ruins it is the manager lady. She is one of the rudest people I've come across in the hospitality industry. If she doesn't like working there and hates the patrons then do something else and don't drag a nice pub down

The cost of drinks in this place is absolutely ridiculous and unjustified. £11.40 for one pint and half a Pepsi. We tried the nachos and Scotch egg snacks too which were poor for the cost. Worked out about £6 for the Scotch egg which was nothing better than anything you could pick up from Tesco.
Admittedly, the pint was nice... but not £8 worth of nice!

Strolling the streets of Wesburnwy we found this authentic English pub, we were super excited to have an English breakfast and it was a great find. Great breakfast, great products, very good! We were very happy two mornings in a row.
Oh yes, the next day we went back! By force!
Highly recommended!

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
