Visited the liberty bounds for my customary pre football breakfast. Ordered weatherspoons large breakfast which is usually a culinary delight. This time mushrooms and bacon just about raw, fried egg undercooked and not to the usual high standard despite the 20 min wait. Pull your socks up weatherspoons!

The Liberty Bounds is a Wetherspoons pub near the Tower of London. As usual the prices are good (especialy for central London) and the food is of a good standard with a reasonable choice.

Had a wonderful experience. On a 8 hour transit in London on the way to the US. Used the hours to take a pleasant walk of the city - Walked from St Pauls to the Liberty Bounds with multiple stops in the middle. Hungry and tired by the time we reached Liberty Bounds. Breakfast was great. My 16 year old... More

Extensive pub menu, all good value. Check out the meal deals, there are a number of menu choices where you get a free drink as well so take time to read the small print for all the options. Very reasonable wine list. Soda water is free. They do freshly brewed Lavazza filter coffee with free refills until 2pm. With the... More

I ate a burger that was okey, not fantastic and not bad. It was a special service where you walked up to the bar to order on your table number bringing your drinks back to the table. The waitresses then came out with the ordered food to The table when finnished.

It's a typical Weatherspoons, we got a great breakfast there very cheaply and went there for coffee one night. The staff are attentive, What's not to like ? It's very close to the Tower of London and a number of expensive hotels nearby.

Visited today for breakfast while waiting for The Tower to open and while the breakfast was very good and the refillable coffee a nice touch one member of staff let the side down. No eye contact, when we explained we could not find a table number the lady did not look up from the till and just barked at us... More

Typical Wetherspoons - cheap and mainly cheerful. Reasonable tourist pub close to Tower Bridge & Tower of London. Open at weekends which many City of London vnues are not!

Absolutely terrible. The girl who served me had no customer service skills whatsoever, being Scottish took ages to accept a £10, Saturday morning not overly busy, seen places busier, ordered one wrap and one bacon roll to be told it could be anywhere up to 45 mins. Ordered, after 50mins went to ask to be told another 15. Took my... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
