Basic menu with cheap and cheerful offers, outstanding view of Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Great staff. Excellent stop for the Big Bus Tours, highly recommend for lunch before or after.

It's a Wetherspoons and no bad thing. Great location and low prices. Food and drink is exactly what you'd expect from this chain, which means value for money, but not a gastronomic masterpiece. Gets full most evenings. Worth a visit if you're nearby and on a budget.

We went here for a drink yesterday . It was a bit dearer than other weatherspoons but it's London so its to be expected. The building was beautiful on the outside so the inside was a shame but a nice enough place.

Stopped in hera after visiting the towe of London and was in need of a cold drink on a hot day. We were lucky enough to get a table with a dreat view of Tower bridge and the tower of London too. Cheap, standard wetherspoons menu which is great in central London- gourmet burger with chips and onion rings plus... More

You can choose the table you like, no one is taking you to a table. There is also a second floor, so have a look upstairs if the ground floor is full. They serve real English pub food, good quality, good portions. There are lots of different dishes to choose from. You have to order at the bar, food and... More

We stopped off here for a late night drink. It was still busy after 11pm. It is a big pub and not bad at all. As usual with Wetherspoons it is brightly lit. Drinks are cheaper than other place nearby and location near the Tower of London is great.

Good reliable Wetherspoons. If you want basic pub grub at what for central London is unbelievably cheap prices they can't be beat. I went on steak night and got a sirloin steak with all the trimmings and a pint for Less then £10. Good prompt service despite the place being pack.

I used to come here more often but stopped as the burgers just seemed to be too dry - cooked differently than they used too. I returned as a test to see if improvement but worse than ever. Didn't enjoy it. Too burned. Too dry. Chips are lovely. I'll stick to these if I return and use GBK across the... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
