You can book in advance, which is rare in most dim sum restaurants. The prices are a little higher than some of the other places, but they have a number of good dishes. The eel cheong fun is surprisingly good, some crispy bits, great contrast of textures that worked well. The scallop cheong fun was disappointing, not much filling and... More

Let's be honest, I don't generally go to Chinese restaurant but I may have to change my mind after this. Great location and atmosphere, including enough space and not a cramped seat like many other restaurants. Staff very friendly and very responsive. Food was actually great and fresh, so I would definitely recommend this place!

Food here is delicious, I go back every time I'm in London. It's a more upmarket chinese for Chinatown and a bit more expensive than the rest, but definitely worth it.

We booked a table for 12 as part of a work do. We did phone up to ask for vegetarian menu and they told us they have one. Upon arrival, the lady at the reception ignored us and we made our way to the table as my work colleagues had already arrived and the ones lagging behind at reception were... More

Dear Garfield, Thanks so much for your feedback. Unfortunately we do not have a separate menu for vegetarian, however we do have a variety of vegetarian dishes which includes vegetarian chicken and duck (made from bean curd). Other vegetarian dishes such as egg tofu in hot pot with vegetables, Chinese vegetables, mixed vegetables, and vegetarian noodles. There are some vegetarian... More

Booked this restaurant following reviews off Trip Advisor and it was a real find. Food was really good, modern decor, friendly service and good atmosphere. We took our 10 year old goddaughter who thought it fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

We came here as a bit of a last minute decision. We usually pick our restaurants carefully but following a day at work plus shopping we thought the menu looked nice (plus they serve dim sum all day where other restaurants seemed to stop at 5??). As we were done with making decisions, we went for one of the set... More

Rude staff and awful food not much else to say really. Never again. Terrible service by angry looking staff who didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing , ordered 5-6 dim sum dishes plus Singapore noodles and squid , noodles tasteless and squid rock hard . Cancelled the dim sum and promptly left

Spoilt for choice in Chinatown, we chose this contemporary restaurant. Excellent choice of food. We just had mixed starters to share, delicious spare ribs, soup and Peking Duck. Couldn't manage a main meal. All very tasty with good service. Would definitely go again!

Located in the heart of London's bustling Chinatown district, Plum Valley Fine Dining is a sleek Cantonese restaurant that stands out along Gerrard Street for its minimalist style and smart wooden, slate and stone interior. Perfect for business lunches, pre-theatre meals and post-sightseeing snacks, Plum Valley Chinese restaurant is conveniently located near Piccadilly Circus and the West End without being touristy, and the restaurant boasts its own conference facilities well suited for private events and meetings. Dumpling lovers will go gaga for the scallop dumpling, whisker black cod roll, and we also recommend the pillowy cream custard bun, Mongolian fillet steak, and the grilled sea bass with ginger and spring onion. Or just take your waiter's advice and make a survey of the sublime dim sum or the excellent a la carte. Smart enough for dates, yet friendly to groups, Plum Valley is a great must-try restaurant in Chinatown.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
