Four of us visited yesterday afternoon for a special birthday tea and we were absolutely delighted with the service, the food and the softtails that we had. The staff went out of their way to make the occasion very special and the quality and quantity of food was excellent and extremely good value. Will definitely be returning.

Booked for dinner after the ballet, table reserved in advance for 10.30pm. My friend has food allergies so explained this on the booking form. When we arrived service was very rushed. They had nothing much available for my friend to eat, in fact by the time they finally agreed on something for her it was 11pm. All that was on... More

I had been here for drinks before and enjoyed it so this time with my parents we decided to have a meal - it didn't disappoint. The service, food and ambience were spot on. The pies (steak and chicken) and fish pie were delicious.

Staff excellent, food excellent, what's not to like? Not been for many years. Only criticism maybe not enough steak in steak pie. Big bubble of pastry crust, but overall, great. Natasha, our waitress, deserves a mention.

Very busy and vibrant, service excellent and cosmopolitans very good. 2 courses plus 2 bottles of wine came to £25 per head excellent value for London. My grading would have been 5 stars but was a little disappointed by dessert, described as a tart but served in a ramekin.

Very quick, efficient service. Opted for pre theatre menu, 2 courses for £14.95, excellent food but watch out for up selling if you're on a budget, casually asked if we wanted bread and Olives, quite often free when abroad, here it's 2 side orders, £4.95 for bread and £2.95 for the olives. Both very nice but something to be aware... More

I do not like the idea of paying 10% service charge. The price on the menu should have been the price i pay. Service charge was £38, if i wasnt in the company of others this would not have been paid. Its up to the individual diner to show their appreciation to the waiter or waitress direct. Will not be... More

A busy restaurant at theatre time but it didn't feel 'squashed'. Service was OK - staff very busy. Menu not extensive but good selection at reasonable prices for pre theatre. My selection of the souffle was great - except the salad was a little tired. Some fresh greens were brought to the table.

Early pre theatre dinner. the service was ok The starters were served so quickly they had to have been prepared. Mine was a cold crab and avocado stack that was cold enough to have been kept in a fridge. The main of fish and chips was alright but I think the fish had eaten some of the chips! The mushy... More

Dear tripperray, Thanks for visiting and taking the time to write a review, During pre theatre we do try and ensure our guests are served quickly as we are aware most have theatre tickets and want to dine quickly. I will speak to the head chef about the chips, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Kind Regards Marque More
