We called in after we had been evacuated from the Aquarium ( ? Emergency drill ) without five year old grand daughter .We received a lovely welcome despite seating 10 minutes before service opened ,the food was very tasty and we found the whole experience very enjoyable .We'd definitely pop in again

Was staying at the hotel across the street and found myself alone for dinner so decided to try Troia given its decent reviews on TA. Only had the mixed grill which was decent but not amazing. The lamb kebab was a little chewy. Restaurant is very crowded and loud. Service was ok.

Been here recently. Obviously as it's London it's more expensive then Turkish restaurants elsewhere. Whilst my food was ok, I've certainly had better elsewhere. Some of the pieces of meat I found weren't the best. They also added a compulsory service of 12.5% which they made us fully pay, wouldn't say this place is anything special. Just your run of... After walking around and looking at the sites for a couple of hours, we decied to stop at "Troia" for a spot of lunch. To begin with we ordered 2 starters houmous and garlic sausages which were very nice when they eventually came out. During our visit they kept changing waiters throughout our service and they didn't seem to know... More

I love this restaurant. The food is always excellent and full of flavour, the menu has a variety of Turkish/ Greek/ Mediterranean/ Middle East grills and casseroles, the staff are very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is nice. We have returned many times for dinner, both to eat-in and also for take away. The kids love it too. Would... More

The food is great here, the interior deco as well. But... the service is pretty bad. They have two teams in the front of the house; one to get orders from diners and another to serve the food. It's the former that is the failing part - they take far too long to come round and take orders, to bring... More

After walking and riding the bus in the sun and heat we popped in here for lunch. The varied menu was perfect for our group of ten (five being children). Delicious Mediterranean food and proper fish and chips.

We have been going to Troia since last 10 to 15 years. Its always a pleasant experience and the food quality has always remained excellent. The staff specially their manager Mehmet is always welcoming and gives each customer special attention. We were hungry after a morning visit to Westminster Abby. and happened across Trioa across the Thames past the Marriott. Very enjoyable middle eastern style breakfast, plenty of food. Much more enjoyable than the traditional "English Breakfast."

We popped into Trioa whilst passing through the area prior to a show. The outdoor seating was full so thought would be worth a try. We were quickly seated and on first impressions the restaurant was clean and bright. Initial service was nice and quick. The menu was reasonable although not the most extensive and prices were average for London.... More

Description
This smart glass-fronted caf, restaurant bar on Belvedere Road is neighbours with the Royal Festival Hall, Yo Sushi! and Chez Gerard in that cultural hot-spot, the Southbank. The 82-dishes (excluding set, special and children meals) offer a comprehensive taste of Turkey's national (healthy) diet. There's kisir, a cold starter of nuts, bulgar wheat, herbs and spring onions. Hearty mains include kuzu guvec, a lamb casserole, and a delicious mariage of runner beans and onions served with a rich tomato sauce and rice called yesil fasulye. There are fish, pasta, rice, and special veggie dishes too. Desserts make an intriguing change from treacle pudding and cheesecake. How about kaymakh kestane - sweet chestnuts sprinkled with chestnuts and served with home-made cream?

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
