Excellent dinner served early to accomcadate theatre tickets. The beef was better than anything I have had recently in the states. Great dinner

There were four of us without reservations, we got right in and was pleasantly surprised, The cost was reasonable for what you got. There was a set price for two or three course dinner, we chose the two course, which included and a selection of Appetizers, side dishes, main course, (you could have seconds, if you wanted, no problem) and... Exceptional quality, and so many choices of appetizers, vegetables, and desserts for the carver dinner. What a sumptuous feast in beautiful surroundings.

Service, food and value for money, excellent. This is a carvery, large choice of starters, mains, including two roast joints, salmon, pasta etc. Two courses £24 or three courses £29.

Went here tonight for pre theatre 2 course meal ... help yourself which is great as not a massive eater. We had one drink each (both doubles £28 with Coke) I expect those prices TBH it's central London. Very nice place staff on duty were outstanding and constantly asking if everything was ok. And even took my plate off me... More

We were hopeful at first that our evening would be a standout but to no avail. The service and food was mediocre, especially considering the price. The roast was served on a buffet more as a leftover. Scalloped potatoes were the highlight. Gratuity was included and they seemed embarrassed to give us a bill. They should have. Every opportunity to... More

We just popped in for a pre lunch drink on a hot day. The bar was cool and almost empty. The staff were fine but the service was slow. I ordered an Aperol spritz which is made with Aperol and prosecco. When I came to pay the bill they charged me £15 for a champagne cocktail, needless to say I... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to our Cavalry Bar. I was naturally very sorry to read that you felt our wine to be expensive. We do feel that we offer a good value within the London market at 4 star level, particularly given the variety of choice offered. We review our menu prices... More

We had an excellent meal here. I love a good roast beef dinner when I am in London and we had one here. It's a buffet in a very nice warm comfortable room. The roast beef and Yorkshire pudding were great as were the appetizers, vegetables, and deserts. there were choices other than beef like lamb, salmon, spaghetti, etc. But... More

My mother and I were very impressed by the Carvery lunch. It was a very hot day in London and we had just visited Buckingham Palace. The hotel is excellently situated for lunch or afternoon tea before or after a visit. The restaurant was cool and welcoming. The waiters and waitresses were extremely amenable and polite. The rib of beef... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
