We went here for a pre Ronnie Scott's dinner. Very convenient, friendly and reasonably priced for central London. Good ambience and really tasty food. My son and wife are pescatarians and found plenty of interesting dishes to enjoy.

It's quite difficult to find decent food, good value and genuinely friendly service in Soho but you will find all three at Bistro1. At the mad end of Frith Street, yards away from the tumult of Shaftesbury Avenue, this small restaurant somehow sits there in relative calmness. We had the pre-theatre set meal with prosecco where you get two courses,... More

Thought this place was very good considering it is very close to a major tourist trap. £10 for two courses. Both my wife and I fully enjoyed the food. It is not fine dining but solid quality and a friendly atmosphere. Will return next time we are in London for a show.

Absolutely fantastic little cafe / bistro in the heart of Soho. Stopped off for breakfast & a coffee on a busy Saturday morning. Ordered an omelette & eggs Benedict. The omelette was huge, served with fries & salad. The eggs benedict was possibly the nicest I've ever had. Ordered tea & an Americano plus 2 glasses of water. £12.50!!! Bargain.... More

Picked this as visiting nearby theatre and looked a good deal, however the quality of the food was below par. Service was quick and the place was busy.

After reading good reviews I thought I would give it ago. I had the very bland falafel to start. And my friend had the calamari which had to be sent back. It was very rubbery. I had the moussaka which was awful. Tasteless. It was £15.00 for two courses. Over priced and I wouldn't go back.

We called in to Bistro1 for a meal having dined here previously. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked and prepared, washed down this time with a very tasty rosé. Very good value for money that guarantees we will call in again. Thanks to Francesca for her polite and friendly service.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
