Visited on Friday early evening and couldn't have been happier. The restaurant was a godsend after experiencing several truly awful, noisy, overcrowded, overpriced establishments crammed into central London. Brasserie Blanc was an oasis of calm, the staff were friendly and polite, the wine was excellent and very affordable and last but not least, the food was superb. I would highly... More

My wife and I had dinner at Brasserie Blanc on a Tuesday evening recently. We had not been there (or any other of the Blanc restaurants) before. We had seen Raymond Blanc on television and so had few worries when booking. The experience was very, very poor. Neither my wife nor myself could finish our starters; they were so bad.... More

My husband and I enjoyed a 3 course set menu following a visit to the Tower of London which is very close by so an ideal setting. The staff were friendly and efficient, menu choice was limited but good value for money, glass of house wine included. The food was delicious but if I was to complain our steak could have... More

It was a couple blocks away from our hotel in the Tower Hill area so we decided to try their offerings and we were not disappointed. We were able to get a table without a reservation. Most of the diners are locals with a sprinkling of tourists like us. Service is good but a bit slow. We had the Escargot... More

This was a birthday meal out for myself and my girlfriend. Very warm and friendly welcome, superb menu (at lest 3 starters that I really wanted and at least 5 mains of equal temptation) reasonably priced wine. Food was tremendous - starters were Escargot - (not everyone's taste, but gorgeous - even my very cautious girlfriend tried and marvelled how... More

We very much enjoyed this restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good. I particularly enjoyed the beetroot salad. Pan fried pork was very good as well. A very nice restaurant in a section of town where your choices are limited. Recommended.

We called in prior to seeing a Mamma Mia Matinee. The table allocated was comfortable and not crowded. The service was excellent as was the food and ambience. This is a restaurant I would definitely recommend and visit again!

When coming to London my wife and I usually stay at the nearby Apex City hotel and have walked past this Brasserie Blanc quite a few times since its refurbishment, thinking to eat there one day soon. We finally did so on the Friday before a friend's wedding, and found the experience extremely pleasurable. The triangular, corner shape of the... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
