I visited Montpeliano with 9 colleagues after a business meeting and having booked very late in the day we were given a great table. The service was excellent & the choice and quality of our food was first-rate. The grilled fish platter was exceptional as was the bread & butter pudding. A most enjoyable evening.

Montpeliano sports an aged decor which is trying to say "I'm an old fashioned Italian restaurant that will give you the home cooking you crave". Nothing could be further from the truth. The starter I had, burrata, was admittedly not terrible; but then again this is not exactly a dish that requires a rocket scientist's intellect to pull off. For... More

We dined at Montpeliano last in 1985. At that time it was a narrow, cozy spot with wonderful Italian cuisine. When we knew we would be returning to London last May, we made a point to reserve a table. What was cozy is now an elegant dining establishment with wonderful service, ambience and again, Italian cuisine. We miss the "old"... More

We had six people in our party. Everyone was delighted with their meal. The appetizers were all delicious! The wine list was extensive and interesting. The pasta was perfectly cooked. I suggest the Bolognese sauce. Espresso was delicious and perfect!

Located opposite to Harrods Montpeliano is attracting high end clients since several decade. The classic Italian food is well prepared but we may expect more at such level o price so it is a 3,5 out of 5.

Trip Advisor has overlooked this long standing gem of a London Italian restaurant. For 40+ years this place has served up more than adequate food, and provided locals and visitors alike with a great time. The space is decorated with many works of art and photographs of celebrities, particularly Marilyn Monroe. The staff are dedicated and willing to go the... More

Visited here whilst in London after reading the many TA reviews. I must admit the facade does not do this place justice. The interior is bright an airy and the staff as traditional Italian as could be. Wine list isn't huge but the choices are interestingly varied. Food is excellent - beautifully presented and served piping hot (which for me... More

Another visit to my favourite Italian restaurant. Yet again I want disappointed, either with the food or the service. Can highly recommend the Veal Escallope with lemon!

I had the pleasure of an early evening dinner here. The staff were very welcoming, the menu classic Italian, I chose the veal which was beautifully cooked, I would definitely recommend.

Excellent pasta. Excellent mushroom Risotto. Lovely seating area under glass ceiling. Excellent service. Reasonable price for what they are offering and location in Montpeliano square across Harrods.
