This is a great, old fashioned club and I was delighted to have been able to visit it. You feel like you are in an enclave away from the bustling city and all the military artefacts are really interesting. Good sandwiches and helpful staff too. Outside is a memorial stone to the murdered police officer Yvonne Fletcher.

I have had both lunch and dinner here and they are quite consistent with the quality of food and dining arrangements. What I like most of all is the peaceful, private atmosphere inside. I felt very much at home. The decor is not as modern as I would like, but this is down to preference. I like new buildings and... More

As a member am I bias? Yes... Am I right? Yes! A fantastic place with great staff. Good rooms and an attached health club. The club has a great history. Beware of the dress code if visiting.

A friend has just joined the club and invited me for lunch, he was recommended it by some colleagues from his division. What a fabulous building, steeped in military history, character, charm and in some respect a typically British club in the city. The welcoming and engaging staff are excellent, we then dined in the coffee club and I must... More

My husband and I have a reciprocal agreement with Royal Canadian Military Institute in Canada, so I stayed at this Naval Club recently with a business colleague. The setting is superb London, beautiful area. Elegant Dining Room with lovely full breakfast. Rooms simple but clean and well-serviced. We found the street quiet and a bit of walk to find taxis... This year my wife and I were able to enjoy our stay at The Naval and Military Club at St. James Square in London. The history of the club exuded from beautiful public and dining rooms that we enjoyed. Our membership in the Marine Memorial Association in San Francisco afforded us reciprocal membership of this closed London club. The location... More

A lovely building in such a wonderful location. After the recent lick of paint it received, the 'In & Out ' (as it is known) is back on form! The staff there are brilliant, massively polite, obliging and friendly. The dining experience is formal but comfortable, you can have a lovely meal then retire to one the drawing rooms for... More

I love the in & out club. Had some yoghurt off the table to start followed by boiled eggs. Stunning dining room overlooking St. James's square and friendly service

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
