We decided to stop here for a quick bit and what we had was good, they did run out of one of the items we ordered but we shared the plate we received. Drinks were very good.

Nice atmosphere; easy access to restaurant and in a good location, but food was not the best. Service was very courteous, but again the food is average. If you're vacationing I suspect you want more in your dining than the average meal.

We recently visited The Brasseria, part of a Thistle Hotel with the intention of having a quick lunch during our lunch break at work. When we arrived there was no one there and all five of us ordered a main course. In the meantime a group came in that were obviously using the hotel for a conference or event. All... More

We went here because we waited too late to book for other "comparable" restaurants in the area (Bumbles, The Library) for Saturday night. There were three of us, nicely dressed (no blue jeans). After telling us that they were fully booked and couldn't take us, the desk attendant said she would squeeze us in. The restaurant was only 50-70% full... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
