A good reference by the concierge of the Rosewood Hotel brought us here.
Located near Covent Garden the Red Farm is a small, imaginative, clean place not fancy. It serves Cantonese food. There is a great choice of vegetarian options.
The chef is from Hong Kong and has spent time in the US opening restaurants in New York and California.
The vegetarian spring rolls styled like flowers looked very pretty. Hot and crispy, they tasted good too.
The tri-colored vegetable dumplings served in a small pail with seaweed were also very good looking. Tasted lovely with each vegetable-packed separately in the dumpling.
Then there was a soup in a dumpling served with a straw! So imaginative.
The shrimp and black cod skewers in a hot pot were delicious.
The Salmon bruschetta was great too.
The garlic rice with the shrimp skewer was not as fantastic as everything else.
A fantastic meal.

Excellent food, nice ambiance, great service and friendly staff! I particularly enjoyed the Roast Duck, my partner the Shrimp filled Chicken. The Cheeseburger spring rolls were just as tasty and novel as expected and the Shrimp dumplings were delicious. When I wanted to swap the noodles that came with the Duck, for egg fried rice, it was no problem at all. We'll be going back!

For a family of 4 we had 4 starters 3 mains and two cocktails. The waiter assured us that the main my daughter ordered was “generous” so we could share. Portions are painfully small, and I was very surprised to find out the chili chicken I ordered came in a bowl with zero rice accompanying it. Again, here the waiter thought because my son ordered shrimp fried rice that it was a lot, and we could “share”. It was not a lot for an 11 yr. old boy literally one cup of rice. We are not massive eaters so trust me when I say these portions are small, they really are. £160.00 pounds for 4 people, we left hungry and proceeded to continue to China town where we had lovely desserts.
I will say that the soup dumplings were very good but other than that, the food was average at best.

The restaurant was quite empty, so there wasn't much atmosphere. The starters were great, but the main courses were silly money for what you got. The shrimp rice for ÂŁ20 was 4 mediocre prawns with a bowl of fried rice (something the local Chinese would have charged a maximum of ÂŁ8-ÂŁ10. The shrimp chicken ÂŁ33 was just okay, but not worth the money. Our server constantly sniffed (big chunky honking). Just disappointing - nearly ÂŁ200 for a family of 4 meal (2 kids) with a couple of drinks.

Terrible service & cold food.
After eating here a couple of weeks ago I recommended this place to my boss and colleague & so went last night. Totally different vibe - service was terrible, lady was quite rude & constantly sniffing & snorting it was super offputting! The starters were tasty but cold & the main dish we ordered was mediocre - 4 overcooked prawns and some fried rice for ÂŁ20+.

Came here last night for birthday dinner with some friends - Quirky restaurant with some fun food concepts. The menu is designed to be shared so between 3 of us we shared 2 starters, 3 mains and a side and it was more than enough for us. Go for the Pacman dumplings if you want something for the Gram, not to mention v tasty. The crispy chilli beef was also very good. The cheeseburger spring rolls looked interesting but decided not to go for them in the end - would try these next time! For mains we really enjoyed the duck with rice noodles and the crispy fried chicken (If you like the taste of crispy chinese duck, this is for you). Our favourite was the schezuan hot pot with prawns, cod and tofu - a must if you like spicy food! In terms of service, I couldn't praise them enough. The 2 waiters on the night were so attentive and accomodating from the moment we walked in. Would definetely return.

Food - 5*, Service 5*
We visited as a last minute booking on the 31st July.
We were served by both Richard & Matt who were wonderful the entire evening, even teaching us how to correctly use chop sticks.
As for the food, it was lovely. We ended up taking it home so we could have it for lunch the next day it was so good.
While the quantities were on the larger side the quality equally matched the portion size.
Richard was even kind enough to lend us a power bank as our phones were dead from the day out in London!

We had a booking in the evening for 3, and when we arrived were shown to a sharing table, where one of us would be sitting directly next to a stranger. We are very covid conscious, and one of our party is vulnerable, so asked if we could sit in one of the 2 empty booths. We were told they were only for parties of 4. We pointed out that there was a spare seat next to one of us on the shared table, so a party of 4 could sit there. I also believe other booths were occupied by less than 4. He then accused us of being aggressive and told us he did not like our tone. At this point we got up and left. We are not difficult customers, as my 200 or so reviews reveal, and we were restaurateurs, so can always see both points of view. This was quite the rudest experience in any restaurant we’ve visited.

What a great dinner! The staff were most friendly and patiently explained about the different menu options. We took the tasting menu for 2 and added 3 more starters on top (we were 4 people). The dumplings were amazing and everything was very tasty. Be aware that some of the dishes are very spicy (but not the dumplings). Overall one of our best food experiences in London.

Let me keep this short.
Spare ribs were fantastic. That’s it. Everything else poorly cooked and bland. Main courses all over-priced and can be had 50% less at any half decent restaurant.
Bill came to £262 for 4 of us ( me, wifey and two kids.) couldn’t believe it. One glass of wine. One virgin cocktail and bottle of water. Other than the ribs (we ordered another portion because you only got 4 small ones) we won’t be back. We agree with the other low reviews below other than we actually were not disappointed by the service.

We booked for 5:45 to catch the pre-theatre menu but by the time we were greeted, seated and had our order taken, we had very nearly missed the cut-off point. As friendly as the staff were (and they were) we felt they weren't nearly as attentive as they should have been. That being said, the food was delicious and I would recommend coming here for the food alone (drinks not so much, ÂŁ8 for a soft drink mainly filled with ice.)

This place was poor. I spent ÂŁ14 on a cocktail and was served a glass that smelt like it had been in the dishwasher for too long and was pretty undrinkable. I mentioned this to the waitress who made a strange excuse about the cocktail containing egg whites. My overall experience was a restaurant that charged too much for pretty tasteless food.

Outstanding Food and Service,
I booked at the very last minute after reading the reviews on here, we were very very lucky to get a table all seat were taken.
All the staff were fabulous and this has to be the best Chinese we have ever had.
My Son was recommended a dish as he was unsure what to order and was given advice how to tackle it :) Great touch!
We had a cosy booth which was nice and private so we could chat easily
I had my 21 year old son with us He also was very impressed
Yes we will be back and thank you for such wonderful food

A server met us at the door and I was pointed to our table not seated. Service was slow and our order can wrong, which was corrected quickly. Overall the food was fine but definitely not worth the price. We booked through the Nightkey app for 25% off food, once the bill came we noticed our discount hadn’t be applied and we let our server know. She informed us that we must have told them at the time of seating that we had booked with a discount and that this could not be added at the end of the meal. This is something to be aware of if you plan to go and have booked through Nightkey or the fork. It would be hard to inform the server of a discount when we weren’t actually seated, having just been pointed in the direction of our seats at the communal dining table and then had our back turned on. In the end she agreed to add the discount. Even with the discount applied our bill came to over £120 for 3 small sharing dishes, 2 egg fried rices and 2 glasses of wine. The VAT and taxes are not included on the menu prices so the bill was a surprise. Overall we left feeling ripped off and wouldn’t return in the future. The food was no better than Rosa’s Thai but that’s a third of the price.

Booked table for 8:15 but no free table till 8:45 which is a bad start for a date night. Luckily the food was amazing and tasty, soon we forgot the half hour wait.
The pac Man har gau is surprisingly good, each colour with different meat inside and tasted amazing.
The dumpling with straw taste authentic, we did not order any mains but 8 different dim sum plates to fill our belly.
The only dish we didn't enjoy is the cheese burger spring roll. Too filling and without the pickles and dressing it is bland and tasteless, just full of fat.
