I really recommend Fishcotheque. The haddock fish for the tradicional fish and chips is amazing, very fresh! It feeds 2 people for a good price. The service and the place is simple, but nice. I will definitely be back.

Rated for the quality of food and service. I dine in with family and we had a great experience. Nice and clean, food was delicious, very polite and price reasonable. We had fish and chips that was fresh, and kids loved the breaded chicken pieces....Definitely recommend this placeMore

This place is a great example why high ratings should never be taken for granted. I attended based on the high rated reviews on TripAdvisor. Ordered the original cod and chips meal. The fish was still moist inside the crispy coating with a slight hint...of a smell, and the chips were not crispy and pale (see the photo). No peas were included. It took quite a bit of time to get to the table. Two days later I had a fish and chips at my Premier Inn hotel, which was far superior to what I got at this restaurant - and a few pounds cheaper.More

I felt very comfortable, one of the best fish & chip shops I have eaten in Europe. Very friendly staff who do their work from the heart.

I’ve been to multitude of fish and chip spots in London…I make it a point to try different ones every time I’m in London…and I’m there once or twice a year. I saw a review on you tube to try this place so I did…just...FYI I had three kids with me who wanted to share…they wouldn’t allow it and made all order separate meals or they would refuse to serve us. This place by far has the worst fish and chips I have ever had…the place is dirty and the service is even worse…stay awayMore

Living in one of the best places in the U.K. for freshly caught and landed fish and therefore by default fish and chips I’m absolutely gob smacked to find the equal, or dare I say better within a 5 min stroll of Platform 13 at...Waterloo Station and a gentle snooze back to Salisbury and beyond, following the trauma of shopping/theatre/Rugby/making a living. Beautifully cooked fresh flaky cod in a light batter and half decent home cut chips at a price that won’t break the bank. Feeling guilty for sharing as some overpaid Journo will now do a review and miss the point entirely but sometimes you just have to share! Eat in or take away for the train both possible; pure luxury, pure indulgence (M & S Puglia Rosso available a few mins away from Platform 13!)More

This is a really good place. There may be better fish and chips in London—if so, they’re probably a lot more expensive—but I haven’t found them. primarily because the food is so fresh. Go for a platter and ignore the temptation to have a sandwich....The service, which can seem merely efficient, is actually quite warm and welcoming, once you offer a thank you or a how’s it going. (The staff has a built-in assumption that you’re in a hurry, but not so much so that they will compromise the food.) It’s a gem.More

I last came to Fishcotheque in 2015. It was great then and it is even better now. The fish is first class and very fresh. The service is friendly and impressively quick and the restaurant is clean and very close to Waterloo if you want...to sit down with your family or eat alone.More
