walking into an empty restaurant you wonder is this place any good! The answer is yes it was wonderful; the food was good as was the service. I guess we had gotten there early as the place began to fill up whilst we were there....More

Disinterested bordering on arrogant staff. Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Bitter, acrid, and so lacking in flavour that I wondered if it could have possibly been cooked by a trained Chef? My tomato ‘salad’ was half a tomato sliced with...More

A good place for a simple casual pasta with a glass of the house red. Prefer the lighter, tomato based sauces to the creamy ones. spaghetti caprese with tuna and olives is my favourite so far. Not alta cuccina but a good reliable local.

Il Borgo didn't disappoint us The dinner excellent, staff OK . The wine very good, but the beer didn't please me. Two complaints: The (Italian) music too loud for our taste. And the front door squeaks loudly.

When you chose a restaurant for dinner in a foreign country without any recommendations you feel like you're flying on a hope and a prayer. This is sort of how we felt choosing Il Borgo. However, turns out we made a great choice! We both...More

We had booked for Da Mario nearby but they were overwhelmed by the Diana Anniversary crowd and were running half an hour late so we left and wandered up the road to this very traditional Italian eatery offering standard Italian fare. It's perfectly ordinary in...More

Our family ate a yummy dinner here in our travels from the states. They accommodated our large party (5 adults and 2 kids). The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the price was fair. The beautiful paintings on the wall added to the...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
