The food was ok but not good. Raviolli - two types, both under cooked but I have had much better at half the price. THEN they add 12.5% for service which considering the quality of service is someones idea of a joke.

It was cold, we were peckish and our tour had finished nearby. We were seven and had to organise our own seating, squished near the draughty entrance. The cakes looked ok, but once ordered arrived at the table covered in iffy chantilly cream and chocolate sauce (even the pain au chocolat). Service so unfriendly and abrupt, patisseries inedible, at least... More

Went for a cake and a cup of coffee for two on a Sunday afternoon. No menu presented so just ordered. Pleasant friendly staff. Rum Baba arrived on massive plate with 2 dollops of spray cream drizzled with raspberry/chocolate sauce and dusting of icing sugar. Small coffees (lukewarm). Bill £21.85 - each cake £6.95 so coffee must have been £4... More

dont know who made up the prices for this cafe, or whether we were just given spur of the moment numbers, but it was disgustingly overprices. we ordered two coffees (about the same amount as an espressos that they had poured into a big cup to make it seem like a normal black coffee) and two pieces of cake (somewhat... My wife and I had the misfortune to visit this restaurant for afternoon tea, we were attracted by the cakes in the window (big mistake). When we entered the waiter asked if we wanted dinner? at 4pm? We said we wanted a cake and a pot of tea, we chose our cakes and then were seated. The tea arrived ,... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
