There is not much that one can say that hasn't already been expressed about THE BAR. It is an iconic landmark and a really a London institution. Everybody is friendly and welcoming. You can feel the history and really imagine all the famous and important people that have graced their presence. There certainly are characters that visit from all over... More

We ordered cocktails and were impressed with the quality of the accompanying snacks. The cocktails themselves were delicious, but the glasses/vessels were gimmicky and did not fit in with the elegance and style we would have expected from the Dorchester.

We popped into this bar whilst up London for the evening. We were walking along Park Lane and we liked the look of the bar so we decided to go in and see what it was like. As you would expect it is very expensive but if you know that and are willing to treat yourself then this is a... More

I was recently at The Bar at The Dorchester meeting an old business partner from Dubai who was over on a business trip. I have to say that I have travelled all over the World and sampled some fantastic cocktail bars, but none have managed to truly shock my pallet with something as amazing as the Vesper Martini at The... Northern lad pops in the Dorchester for a pre-dinner cocktail. Too busy talking to look at the menu. Waiter arrives, quick look at the menu, recognises the Vesper and orders. Excellent drink, but a bit heavy for quick aperitif at the start of a long evening. Excellent service, nice atmosphere, but could have bought a house up north for the... More

We decided to walk along Park Lane and have a cocktail at the Dorchester. In the main the bar we were "wow" at the atmosphere. Amazing cocktails, beautiful glassware. We will definitely return.

Spent a good few hours here sampling the cocktails as one does. Attentive friendly bar staff. Head barman was a bit stuffy & never saw him smile once but we ignored him after the 3rd cocktail 😁

The bar at the Dorchester The bar in London’ most famous hotel is obviously an attraction in itself. Being a tall guy the ceiling feel a little bit too close to my head and the lack of windows creates a strange atmosphere. The drinks are tailored around the Dorchester and you have a lot of choice. It was not my... More

The delights of cocktail hour have returned to London with The Bar at The Dorchester. Established as one of the places in the capital to see and be seen, The Bar at The Dorchester is renowned as much for its rich, opulent interior as for its menu of new and classic cocktails devised by world-renowned expert alchemist Giuliano Morandin and his team whose awards are too many to list. A rich palette of black, browns and aubergine combine with luxurious lacquered mahogany, mirrored glass, velvet and dramatic, red, glass spears to create the perfect nightime atmosphere. A long, sexy, curved bar boasts one of the finest selections of spirits, champagnes and wines in London and a menu to match.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
