Fabulous cocktails and great service but expensive. Our cocktails were £19 each before service charge but did get a lot of complementary olives and nuts

From the thick cut chips to the oysters and champagne everything here is fabulous. My cocktail came with gold dust and lip gloss in a tall martini glass. Great for conversation as well as people watching

We first experienced the Bar at the Dorchester a few years ago, when returning to our hotel close by, from a US/UK Board Dinner in Mayfair. The bar made a very good impression, but it was not until this October, that we “re-discovered” The Bar at the Dorchester. We waited for our table at Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester, next... More

A very well known location and a very well known hotel. It's renowned for a reason, and it deserves it's excellent reputation. Drinks are pricey and most of the staff are very friendly. Very nice place and surprisingly busy for a midweek evening.

Great bar, cosy atmosphere, amazing bar staff, Facundo the head bartender was outstanding and always suggesting interesting cocktails, but they are all going the extra mile for making there guests happy and make everyone feel like home, during this stay we came 4 nights in a row since we felt really looked after! A big thanks to the team all!!

We visit the bar several times a year and again we wasn't disappointed, very elegant setting, the bar staff are very attentive with a great presence from the management ensuring you are left not wanting for anything. The sandwiches are the best in London worth going just to try them, one of our party asked if he could have some... More

Fancied a posh place for some wine one night and decided to try this place. Despite my scruffy jeans, they let us in! Warm welcome from the bar manager, he took our coats, barman knew his wine and kept us going with olives and nuts at the bar and made is feel at home. 65 quid for a bottle of... More

Quite extensive drinks menu, non alcoholic also. I chose a delicious sweet wine, to finish afternoon tea, to the wonderful sounds of the piano. Just wonderful.

Just wanted a coffee and chocolate cake from the afternoon tea menu - they made it happen and it was two chocolate cakes!

The delights of cocktail hour have returned to London with The Bar at The Dorchester. Established as one of the places in the capital to see and be seen, The Bar at The Dorchester is renowned as much for its rich, opulent interior as for its menu of new and classic cocktails devised by world-renowned expert alchemist Giuliano Morandin and his team whose awards are too many to list. A rich palette of black, browns and aubergine combine with luxurious lacquered mahogany, mirrored glass, velvet and dramatic, red, glass spears to create the perfect nightime atmosphere. A long, sexy, curved bar boasts one of the finest selections of spirits, champagnes and wines in London and a menu to match.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
