Initial disappointment as the Game menu that was listed on the website had been discontinued earlier in the month. Had the five course menu and the highlights were the guinea fowl kebab and the apple and blackberry falooda

My husband, our four grown children and I dined at Trishna at the end of December. The food and presentation were amazing. We tried many new dishes -- all were delicious, creative combinations of ingredients. We were simply blown away. The best Indian food ever. We will be back.

Having visited gymkhana about 6 times thought will give this place a visit. The restaurant is dark and warm! With tables very close together, makes the place very quiet. We had the expensive £70 tasting menu and overall i would say it was good, the portions are small. The tiger prawn dish would consist of 1 prawn, 1 lamb chop... More

Went here for my Husbands birthday dinner and it couldn't have been any better. From the moment you walked in the smells were wonderful, Decor is very modern with a really relaxed feel to the place. Food was outstanding as was the service from all the staff, We had the 7 course tasting menu with a glass of prosecco to... More

Booked a table to celebrate our wedding anniversary the weekend just gone and could not be more pleased with the fantastic culinary experience we had at Trishna. I did point out it was a special occasion at the time of booking so they reserved a small booth for us which was rather nice. The staff were super attentive and were... More

This was a good meal all-round. Despite their Michelin star status, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed and the place had a homely feel. We tried the lamb chops, seekh kebab and aloo chat for starters, followed by the Jheenga (prawn) curry and the lamb masala for mains, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. The food was consistently very good. I’d... More

Great little restaurant with a deserved star - excellent service, fabulous lunch time tasting menu (very reasonable) and no complaints when one of our party was 30 minutes late and they were heaving! Great wine flight to go with the tasting menu (I'm normally a beer and curry fan) with an eclectic choice of wines, some I hadn't ever head... More

Diner with 3 pax. Mind you we had a drink in the pub just opposite ( The Gunmaker) and we just walked to T. They don't have a bar to hold the guests. Small, Cosy and warm. Certainly great smell but not that 'methi-Oil' smell. Seated almost as we got in. The Dégustation menu looked very appetizing but we guessed... More

We sat waiting at Trishna for a tasting menu of 60 GBP each and watched a delivery guy waiting in front of the restaurant. I though quite unusual for a Michelin star. Then our courses started arriving and my disappointment started rising: it was nothing more than an average Indian takeout. The spices were unimaginative, the combinations bland, what lacked... Great selection of traditional indian dishes with good selection of wines. The staff explain each dish and are friendly and welcoming.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
