Perfect stop after a busy day. Good quality food, wine and beer, fair (UK standards) price. Nice environment and perfect service.

Popped in for a late(ish) drink on Friday night. It's a nice pub. The staff are friendly and helpful and I can't really fault it. It has a nice vibe. I'll go back the next time I'm in the area.

We stayed in London for a week and ended up eating here for 5 of those nights. The location ended up very convenient to were we were staying. The facility consists of a Pub downstairs and a sit down restaurant upstairs. They have a large selection of Ale, beer, and wine. I believe mixed drinks are also available. The food... More

Enjoyed a late night dinner here. The ambiance is pretty historic and cool, and the service was great. The Bangers and Mash was great, and we enjoyed our experience here. I recommend it for a good bite to eat.

Another great find in the neighbourhood of my hotel, early dinner and up to the 1st floor restaurant, warm, friendly welcome and quickly seated with menu and drink. On the recomend of my charming server I went for the ostrich burger with complimentary choice of extras. Place has great character and atmosphere - short wait for the food and chance... More

We ate here twice during our week long holiday in London. We were staying about 5 blocks away and a local recommended it. Downstairs there is a bar with a lot of activity - upstairs, where we are both times, was a lot calmer. Fish and chips were excellent. Macaroni and cheese appetizer was the real thing -not the Kraft... More

We went here for dinner our first night and the food was perfectly fine, better than some of the "famous" pubs we visited. There is an upstairs for dinner but it was filled by the time we arrived so we had a wobbly table in the corner of the downstairs bar area. There was a bit of a glitch with... More

The staff here is really nice and attentive. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat after a long day. We had some burgers and fish & chips. Good wine and beers. They made us feel really welcomed. The atmosphere is great - very typical pub-like atmosphere. Would recommend highly.

Called in here for a quick pint and a bite to eat whilst staying nearby on business. The pub had a good buzz about it and the downstairs bar was very busy with locals and tourists alike. A decent pint of Guinness at a price you'd expect (in London anyway!) served by friendly staff. The upstairs dining room is much... More

Description
Independently owned & managed pub The Marquis of Westminster reopened in February 2013 following a complete refurbishment. Often described as Pimlico’s village pub, The Marquis is back to doing what we do best, traditional home made British food including wonderful world famous fish and chips, sausages & mash, Sunday roasts and burgers! With a pub, a fantastic restaurant and one of the best function rooms in London, we have created a super-pub, which still has the feel of a British local. Local Pimlican Christopher Hayes bought The Marquis from family friends and re-opened it in June 2006; his parents and grandparents were also pub owners in Pimlico at The Coach and Horses, so Chris is proudly continuing this family tradition in the local area. Matthew Surridge joined in 2008 as General Manager and together they have grown the business so that it now features well on Trip Advisor’s places to eat in London. For those that have not been here before, the people have spoken so come see what we are up to and why many believe us to be London’s best pub. Whether its a pint of ale, traditional British pub food, or an awesome party we have something for everyone!

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
