Had a weekday lunch at 2.30pm and sat upstairs due to no tables downstairs. Service was slow, toilets were dirty, food was oily, presentation was poor and the authentic spicy prawn main was sat in a limp tomato sauce, no spice, turned out the sauce was watered down Dolmio pasta sauce! I complained as I was so disgusted that this... More

Amazing food. We love this place and go as often as we can. Website is out of date and staff aren't always very friendly but the food is amazing.

I have eaten here a few times now and my latest visit was 2.7.16 I stared with KANOM JEEB (Steamed dumplings of minced chicken, crab sticks, prawn, bamboo shoot, mushroom water chest nut wrapped with wonton skin served with tamarind soy sauce) The moved onto GAI YANG (Grilled Thai chicken breast marinated in soy sauce, ginger, lemon grass, turmeric coriander... I have eaten here twice while in London and have to say both times it was a great choice. The food is fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. The menu is long but don’t let that put you off. There are tons of excellent dishes to choose from. I was there with a small group and a large group and... More

Nestled in a narrow lane, Mudmee's simple yet pleasant ambiance really sends chilled vibes. Spicy and mellow, this place has all the right Thai flavours! I defiantly recommend this good value for money.

This is a small Thai situated in the smart backstreets close to Liverpool Street. It's fairly basic in a quaint way....the food (which is the main reason for visiting) is actually very good. The staff are a bit functional....the same can be said of the toilets.... However we enjoyed our visit...hence the rating

Be warned... Do not go upstairs on a Monday night ! The staff clearly do not want to be there. Very impolite which is very unThai like. Shame as the food was good.

Not awful, not great. Soups were good (still average), however my partner ordered the sea bass, which was very far from fresh.

There are not many central places where you have to call up and make a reservation, because there is no electronic system. And it is rare that you see orders being taken on the the old school waiters pad. It is a re-assuring thing at Mudmee, because it means that the concept has not been tainted by the cool and... More

We had a table booked for 8.30 on Friday 22nd, people were queuing out the door in the pouring rain. we told them we had a table booked but they were not bothered, waited a further 20 minutes, gave up and went elsewhere.

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighborhood Profile
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
