wow, what can I say but Ormer was the most amazing experience * the location impeccible * the decor was amazing * the service was personal, engaging but not overwhelming * the cutlery and crockery were so tasteful * but ultimately it was the food...that was the star * each course was stunning with cleverly though out flavours * all I can say is that Ormer must be visited * and I am definitely looking to return * thank you OrmerMore

We had a three course set lunch which was excellent. It's rare that you can say that every course really good. We enjoyed the meal and the paired wine. The surroundings were very good and the staff very attentive. The whole experience could not be...faulted and is recommended without reservation.More

We booked dinner here for our anniversary and went for the eight course tasting menu with wine-pairing. The food was excellent, the sommelier knowledgeable and the staff friendly and attentive. We had a lovely evening and felt really looked after. My only criticism would be...that there was no music playing so towards the end of the evening, when most other diners had left, it felt very quiet and as if we were outstaying our welcome - but I really don't think that was deliberate. Special mention to Aga (like the song 'Aga-do...') who was just charming and so very welcoming.More

My partner and I treat ourselves to fine dining experiences for birthdays and celebrations and this was definitely one of the best! We had the 3 course set menu dinner, including 2 glasses of wine, for which we’d purchased a voucher just before the first...lock-down. On this occasion we decided to treat ourselves to a glass of champagne beforehand and although expensive (for us) it was of the highest quality. The set menu consists of 2 dishes to choose from per course - so for two of us that’s just fine as we get to pick a dish each. The starters were salmon mousse or pate (both served with toast) and were delicious and quite substantial. With the accompanying home-made sourdough bread we were both filling up nicely. The main course was duck or a vegetarian option so we both opted for the duck (with very little to accompany it) but it was the most tender duck portion either of us had ever tasted. For dessert there was panacotta or sherry trifle and both were absolutely delicious. The dishes were accompanied by a glass of white wine and a glass of red wine each, served by the friendly sommelier, and like the champagne were of the highest quality. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and made the whole experience all the more special. In summary, we really enjoyed our dining experience and would thoroughly recommend Ormer.More

Being seasoned fine diners in London it takes a lot to really impress me and my wife but Ormer really impresses. A choice of 7 or 9 small and incredible courses are presented, each tasting exceptional. The atmosphere is perfect in the delightful dinning room....And the price, for the quality presented, is such value. This is fine dining at its very best.More

Lovely 7 course tasting menu at Ormer. Excellent food which is well presented and spaced out allowing you to enjoy each course. We added a Cheese course before dessert which was also excellent. Could not fault the food, service was also excellent, big thank you...to Aga and the team for making our evening so good. Would definitely recommend.More

I was looking forward to this meal having read glowing reviews. However, it felt as though we were in a different restaurant with minuscule portions and some poor cooking. We had the 3 course set menu dinner for £45 each including 2 glasses of wine,...which we had a voucher for. As we weren’t drinking we switched the wine for mocktails, which were one of the only good parts of the meal. The 2 starter options were pate with bread or salmon mousse with bread, not offering much diversity, creativity or skill, so not what I would normally choose at a fine dining restaurant. I had the salmon and it was fine, just as you would expect. My wife being vegetarian asked if they had any veg offering and they offered tomato tortellini, which was very tasty, but a little small. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. My wife ordered the shallot tart for a main and when it came we were shocked by the tiny size of it; a small piece of pastry with less than one shallot on it and a couple of herbs. It was litterally 3 small mouthfuls. My lamb was only slightly better, 2 slices of lamb on a tablespoon of cucumber spaghetti. When they arrived I immediately asked if we could get any sides to go with them but was told they didn’t offer any. I cannot understand how they thought the shallot tart in particular was at all acceptable as a main. Both dishes were well cooked but embarrassingly small. Having looked through photos on here and the menu afterwards the lamb dish they served as a main is exactly as on the tasting menu, but with the lamb rack replaced with 2 slices of rump. The shallot tart was similar to one of the starters, (but smaller!). This is completely unacceptable in my view; a main on a 3 course menu needs to be more substantial than one on a 9 course menu! For dessert we both ordered the panacotta rather than sherry trifle. This came in a ramkin and was soup consistency, with a berry sauce on top which had all mixed into one unappetising mess. I said to the waitress that our panacotta was not set but apparently that is how it was meant to be. The only redeeming points were that we had two bread baskets and the madeleines they brought at the end were warm and tasty. On the whole a very disappointing experience!More

With many covid restictions lifted we decided to return to Ormer Mayfair and with the change of Executive Chef we weren't sure what to expect. We weren't disappointed with the new tasting menus an amazing range of produce and flavour combinations. Definately will be returning...in the near future.More

We had initially booked a voucher for a GBM tasting menu during the first lock down. Since then the chef at the restaurant has changed and so the menu we received was different, but I am so pleased it had, it was amazing. Each course...was delicious in its own way, we had 7 courses plus cheese, petit fours and canapes and we left incredibly satisfied and very happy. The staff were all amazing, the service impeccable and the food equally as good and all a very reasonable price considering the quality and the location. We will be back.More

I don't think that is appropriate. Chinos and open neck shirt ok. It's fully air-conditioned.
