Pleasant surprise with the food here - very good quality esp the Chorizo scotch eggs. Excellent fish and chips too and there are other more bistro items on the menu. Good range of beers. Visited 3 times and consistently good.

I visit regularly and my only complaints are that the bar / garden areas aren't bigger and that certain meals are served on chopping boards (rather than plates)! Aside from that, it's a great venue: good range of drinks (from cocktails, to beers, to wines), good food and a great private room upstairs which can be hired to watch sports... More

Let me start by saying the staff is great, very friendly and accommodating.... Had a great meal! The food was really good! I had english asparagus, tomatoes and ricotta as a starter and ,as a main, decided to try the chickpew stew. Finished every last bit!!

We decided to try the prince of wales as a friend recommended it to us. what a recommendation! Me and my 3 friends decided to have an evening meal with drinks last week. From the moment we walked in we were taken care of. The staff were absolutely lovely and took the time to speak with us and make recommendations... More

Me and my friend went for a dinner last night and everything was amazing. I had a burger and my friend had steak. It was absolutely delicious. Service was really good and friendly. We really enjoy the atmosphere in that place. I would recommend it to everyone. I can't wait to go back.

We attended this pub for dinner this evening. We ordered Hake, steak and a burger plus wine between us. However during dinner I thought I caught sight of a mouse. I told my friend and wife so we were slightly on our guard. A wife as usual was sceptical however when she spotted it she knew it from the start.... More

Thanks for your posting and we really appreciate your concern. I can honestly assure that whilst we are dealing with this lone 'pest' our standards in the kitchen, indeed throughout the pub, remain high and we are doing everything we possibly can to deter this happening again including working closely with a pest contractor who act as our experts in... Just moved to the area. Great local for a slightly above average place to eat out. Kitchen have good ability. Front of house is a little sluggish of arrival or beginning for service with drinks ordering however not much of an issue if your dining at a relaxed leisurely pace. Will return soon.

Went for a few drinks with my friend last night and boy o boy did we make a mistake in ordering cocktails. We selected two of the Bramble (I employee you do not order it). After the barman consulted his instructions, he ran around for a while collecting ingredients and then made one after the other. All fine. After I... More
