Great pub, good beer selection, nice food, friendly busy, atmosphere and good attentive staff, what more can one ask. Oh... and hot mulled wine/mulled sloe gin in winter too. I ate at this place two nights on the run in November 2016, great on both occasions and am looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in Putney, SW London.... More

Terrific food, and small cozy atmosphere. Really like it here, and a good little best kept secret in Putney

I was here early November. Best pub in London. Best food I have had in as long as I can remember, the slow cooked short ribs were out of this world. Staff was so friendly and accommodating! Recommend it to everyone! Cheers chef!!! :)

Busy pub, excellent beer, decent range of real ales on offer, high throughput ensures quality. Had a steak here for supper in the dining room, best steak I've eaten out in ages. Perfectly cooked, excellent quality meat. Can't wait to go back, would thoroughly recommend.

I have used this excellent establishment numerous times in he past year. Last night I had a couple of pints of Mad Goose - a really quaffable Midlands ale and we both enjoyed the food. Service at table was charming, inscrutable, subtle yet efficient - and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Space around the bar is at a premium but... More

Was staying in Putney and looking for somewhere for a cold beer on a warm night. This fitted the bill perfectly and as I sat in the sunshine one beer turned into another...and another...! Really nice place to sit and watch the world go buy. Really enjoyed it.

Came here after a long day. The staff is nice and the bar food great. So far I can recommend the chorizo scotch er and the salt & pepper squids. Delicious! You don't have to wait long for the food. Good service!

Dropped in here for impromptu lunch. It was excellent, however choice was limited. It was certainly good value. Surroundings were pleasant and so was staff member who served us. It was very quiet. Don't know what noise levels would be like when busy. Definitely worth a visit.
