The Blackbird has become my local over the years when I visit the UK once a month during the football season. I love the atmosphere, the beer and the meat pies
Last couple of visits I’ve noticed they have reduced portions and quality somewhat as they fight inflation and cost increases. And typically it’s slow in January after the holidays
For myself I’d prefer them to maintain standards and pass the cost along to the customer/me
Quality and service is what’s going to keep me coming back and telling others

After our check-in at a nearby hotel, we were famished for a good meal and we found just that at The Blackbird in Earl’s Court.
Friendly service in a warm and cozy pub atmosphere. I ordered the special Ox Cheek and Stilton meat pie with triple-cooked chips, leeks and a red wine gravy. I devoured the meat pie, the chips were perfection and the London Pride cask ale was icing on the cake.
Come for meat pies, stick around for the cask ales in a cozy nook of Earl’s Court, and then you can literally stay in one of the rooms above the pub.

We stayed at the Blackbird in the Potter Room. It was comfortable, homey and clean with a good size bathroom. The staff were very accommodating and even carried our luggage up three flights on arrival as the lift was out of order. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as it was plentiful and delicious. We also enjoyed the discount if you ate in the pub. The location is great as it is a two minute walk to the tube station and amenities across the street. The food was typical British pub fare and found it delicious. We enjoyed the small dining room behind the pub for a quieter venue. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return again. Thanks to the management and staff at the Blackbird for an outstanding job!

Very expensive food and drinks. My wife and I had roast beef and Yorkshire puffing for dinner which was GBP 23.50 each. The roast beef was tough, chewy and not tasty. The Yorkshire pudding was large, but dry and hard and tasteless. They should have put some gravy on the Yorkshire pudding to make it softer and easier to cut. My 250 ml of organic merlot cost GBP 10.40 and my wife’s glass of diet pepsi cost GBP 3.30 and it was not even 1 pint. The final bill had 12.5% service charge added to the food and drinks. This is the most expensive red wine I have ever had in a pub, and it was over oxidised.

Called in to the Blackbird for breakfast after a good meal at the Kings Head (also Fullers) the night before. We ordered breakfast from the menu on the table which noted that hot drinks were included. We later realised there were no prices on the menu, but hey, it’s breakfast how bad could it be? When we came to pay, the cost seemed excessive and on checking, we’d been mischarged for 2 items and for the coffee. A surly ‘manager’ intervened, mischarged us again and insisted we pay for the coffee. She noted that they had made a mistake by putting the wrong menu on the table but somehow we had to pay for this mistake? I’m not one for a scene but it was turning into one so we paid and left. Have contacted Fullers for an explanation, apology and recompense for the overcharging.

The Blackbird Pub in Earl's Court seemed like a good option for dinner while staying in Earl's Court. I would not recommend this place .it looks like a traditional British pub but it's more of a tourist trap. It looks very picturesque but it's not very good. The food was tolerable but not excellent. It was overpriced and the service was truly terrible. The servers stood around with their arms propped on the bar. I tried several times to get attention but was never successful. We wanted to get some more water ,my sandwich was dry and I thought I might choke. We gave up and went to the register to pay. After paying we saw we were charged a service fee for the worst excuse for service I have ever seen. I have seen bad service before but never the staff all leaning on the bar ignoring the customers completely!
My advice is to avoid this place. We went on Monday April 16 around 4.30 pm so it was not busy but there were several tables with customers so the staff should have been checking with the patrons but they did not check up on anyone. Summary ..mediocre food overpriced and terrible service.

Bad service. We had to wait over 15 minutes to order, not because it was busy but because no matter how much I stared at the waitresses or raised my hand, no one saw me because NO ONE looked in our direction. Finally we managed to get the attention of a waitress who was just on her shift and got to order. She was nice and helpful. The food was great. After we got the food (we ordered two glasses when the food arrived) the staff went back to providing sporadic service and didn't look our way again. At one point, five of the staff were standing and talking without anyone facing the guests. The table next to us gave up and chose to leave, I understand them. We would have given up too if it wasn't for me being hungry and afraid it would take longer to go somewhere else.
If the service had not been so exceptionally bad, I would have rated it 5.

The food was serve closer to cold than luck warm. When we asked if they could warm it up a little bit they toke half the plate, leaving the rest and we didn't see it for 20 min. By the time it came back the rest of dish was cold and the things brought back was burnt to a crisp. The beers were flat. The service was slow. One of us had a sea food allergi and asked if we could have crisp. The waiter went and check with the kitchen that told us they only had one and they couldn't avoid cross contamination. Then half way through the meal another waiter comes by with crisp leaves them and tells us they made a mistake. Very strange, apparently they bought another fryer during our meal.

A very nice location with a good English pub feeling. The food is classic pub food, all up to standards. The fish and chips were big and fresh and the pies also come in smaller sizes. For drinks the Cornish pear cider is recommended. The apple and blackberry crumble for two was perfect.

Service was poor. The staff did not seem interested in providing a basic good service. We were charged a service charge automatically irrespective of the level of service provided. We did not feel welcome. The food was good but not great for the prices charged. Cornish pasty was reheated and dry. Portion of side chips was tiny. Not good value for money or a pleasant experience.

Managed to grab 2 seats outside this pub and watch the folks of Earl’s Court go by on a nice summers evening.
Enquired about getting some food and was directed to the front lounge in which I said it was a bit too loud for my liking and said is there any availability in the lot quieter room at the back and after a minute or two was shown a table, the food and service was very good and the bottle of Picpoul went down very nice. The waiter even put the cricket highlights on for us and informed us about the service charge on the bill.
A very enjoyable evening.

Went to the Blackbird on a Monday evening to meet my friend. The bar staff are very welcoming and friendly and there is a good selection of drinks to choose from.
We decided to stay for something to eat, but we are very disappointed with the food. For a pub that takes pride in its home-made pies we didn’t think it was up to much and the ‘triple cooked chips’ were like McCain oven fries. £18 for a main course is very expensive, even for London and we won’t go back there to eat.

We came on Sunday for dinner. They were very understaffed. You have to go to the bar to order everything and only one person behind the bar, so you had to wait in line for a long time. This ruined the fun of having a dinner with friends because you had to spend so much time waiting at the bar. There was one older man working who was wearing filthy clothing, seemed drunk, and wasn’t helping behind the bar, he was just walking around talking to people. He would pass by our table and say “do you need anything” and we would answer, we’ll have another round, and he say “go to the bar”. Why ask? He kept delivering food to the wrong tables and generally just being pretty useless. We had pies, they were good. But overall having to go to the bar to order, having to wait so long at the bar to order, ruined the experience.

What a terrible restaurant! Coffee is poor, one breakfast was not edible, cold and dry, was sent back. No offer to replace either. The other breakfast was also cold and not great. Not really sure anyone cared either. The place has all the looks but terrible food. Service was okay, not good or great. As a tourist I didn’t feel welcomed either.

This is an excellent pub with rooms in the centre of Earls Court Road. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is extremely good. The rooms are clean and well decorated and have air conditioning. A perfect base for a weekend in London.
The breakfast is included in the price and there is a good choice and they are very adaptable. Choice of coffee is included.
We had an evening meal and as it was Sunday we had a roast which was everything you would expect. The speciality is pies and the starter pie we tried was very good.
We would definitely go back and would highly recommend it.
