Came here for the three-course prix fixe menu and were impressed by both the quality and presentation of the food. Not sure if The Square has a Michelin star, but if not it should. Added on the cheese trolley near the end of the meal,...More
We had a memorable dinner at The Square last night. This was our first visit to the 'new' Square. We were hugely impressed. The quality of the food ('honest', unpretentious food, highest quality ingredients, beautifully served), and friendly, professional service made for the most enjoyable...More
I’ve eaten here over the years on many occasions and it’s great to see the food returning to top of the London league. Clement has settled down well. Using very good ingredients, not all classic and has his own twist, which is very good. The...More
The Square on Bruton Street in the Mayfair section is an extraordinary French restaurant. Michelin appears to have given it but one star - though, comparing to other 3-star restaurants we have eaten at over the years - Square deserves those 3 stars - maybe...More
My wife and I booked this restaurant for four of us based on good reviews through bookatable for a meal to celebrate my wife’s and Sons birthdays. There were just 4 tables occupied during our meal and with no background noise or music the atmosphere...More
Our family have eaten here a few times and my parents say it is one of their favourite restaurants. In the last two years the decor has changed.
We had a table at 7pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was very quiet. You make...More
We booked in for the five-course set menu, with a glass of champagne included.
Arriving at 18:45 on a Thursday, we were the only people in the restaurant for a while, and with no music and the servers stood around watching, it was a little...More
My mum booked this restaurant through Bookatable. There was a deal offered for 6 courses, a glass of champagne and a kitchen and cellar tour. When we arrived, there was only one couple in the entire restaurant and to be honest it was painfully silent,...More
A nice restaurant with good food and delightful staff.
However I found that some of the nicely presented dishes were under-seasoned.
There were flashes of brilliance undermined by examples of ordinariness.
All around, not as impressive as at least three wonderful local competitors.
My daughter and her boyfriend brought us here for my birthday lunch.
What an inspired choice!
The interior is lovely with nicely spaced tables, and good art displayed on the walls.
The ambiance is instantly smart, but also relaxed and informal.
The waiting staff were...More
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even
if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
I have no doubt that this request would be easily fulfilled. I suggest you call the restaurant in good time to let them know so they can prepare a meal to suit that will be the standard they would expect from themselves.
